9-1/2" Modular Motor


The 9-1/2" Baker Hughes Modular Motor is
based on the proven X-treme and Ultra
Positive Displacement Motor (PDM) design
and incorporates a hard wired communications
BUS to transmit MWD power and data. This
unique technology allows integration of this
high powered PDM within the bottom hole
assembly. The Modular Motor is positioned
below LWD suite but above the AutoTrak
G3.0 steering unit giving significant benefits.
The Modular Motor has been developed to run
in conjunction with the latest generation
AutoTrak G3.0 and G2.5 Rotary Closed Loop
Systems (RCLS).
Features

These systems feature a fully integrated, yet


modular BHA design and have a uniquely high
rotary speed specification. By positioning the
Modular Motor within the AutoTrak RCLS
BHA, the precise steering and hole quality
advantages of AutoTrak are achieved with
added advantages of performance drilling with
Baker Hughes motor technology.
