Project Scope
According to The automotive trade journal Ward's Auto there are 1.2 billion vehicles on the
worlds road now. So there is a huge market for glare free windscreen. In 2013, the UK reported
that sun glare and headlight glare contributed to 3,000 accidents and 36 deaths. If it thought just
for a second how much financial and human loss could be saved?
In this situation there is a need of glare free windscreen that will reduce the glare of sun light or
the glare due to headlights of vehicles coming in front of driver.

Target Market Analysis

Our target automotive market is very large and expanded. Global sales of passenger cars are
forecast to hit 73.9 million vehicles in 2015. Along with China, the United States is counted
among the largest automobile markets worldwide, both in terms of production and sales.
About 7.7 million passenger cars were sold to U.S. customers in 2014, and around 4.25 million
cars were produced here in the same year. According to The automotive trade journal Ward's
Auto there are 1.2 billion vehicles on the worlds road now. So there is a huge market for glare
free windscreen.
The United States became a key automotive market when Ford introduced assembly line car
production in the early 1900s to mass-manufacture its Model T. Today, the Ford Motor Company
still ranks among the leading manufacturers of passenger cars, its most popular model currently
being the Ford Focus, which was also 2013s bestselling car worldwide. In terms of
revenue, Toyota, Volkswagen and General Motors top the list of major automobile makers, while
the automotive supplier industry is dominated by Bosch, Continental, Denso and Magna.

Technical Feasibility Analysis

As glare free glasses are made from anti-reflective coating, in the likewise the whole windscreen
can be made from the same material or by the same process which is known as vacuum
deposition technology.
By this vacuum deposition technology the magnesium fluoride will be inserted or coated in the
inner side of the glass of windscreen while in the production of it. The coating limits light

reflection by allowing the maximum amount of light to pass through the glass. Non-reflective
coating is effective for reducing headlight glare.

Financial Analysis
Since there are various types and qualities of windscreen so depending upon the quality, price of
the glare free windscreen will also be different. Basically the cost of glare free windscreen is the
cost of anti-reflecting coating of magnesium chloride in the windscreen and its cost depends
upon the price of that material and process of coating.
So estimated cost of coated material and coating process is 10, 000 PKR per windscreen.

Competitive Analysis
There are no direct competitors of this product. In fact there are indirect competitors

Glare free glasses

Anti-reflective Lenses to reduce the glare

But usage of these things puts the limits on the users. If we talk about driving, then not every
person is having or caring a separate pair of lenses with him or her. In the likewise not everyone
is carrying the glare free glasses that are of may be different sizes and people may find it difficult
to put on glasses. So in these situation glare free windscreen make it more comfortable and
permanent solution to this problem.
