COMPLAINT AFFIDAVIT
I, Leah Olivar, Filipino, Of legal age with residence address at #5 Don Manolo Drive,
Alabang Hills Village, Muntinlupa City, after having been duly sworn in accordance with
law do hereby depose and state that:
1. That I married Clark Medina in Saudi Arabia on April 06, 2011.
2. That on June 10, 2011 my husband decided to return to the Philippines after
learning that his mother, Mrs. Claudia Powers was diagnosed with Colon cancer
and was currently undergoing chemo therapy.
3. That for several months in order to acquire extra income, I worked two jobs in
order to support the medical expenses allegedly incurred by my mother in law.
4. That having not heard of any improvement on her condition I got worried and
asked my sister to visit my mother-in-law who is allegedly confined at East
Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City on November of 2011.
5. That my sister was informed that no person named Mrs. Claudia Powers was
confined or admitted in the said hospital.
6. That to my curiosity, I called my husband and asked him why my sister was
unable to locate them at the hospital to which he replied that his mother was

already discharged and brought home months ago and is currently having private
medical care wherein the attendance of private nurses and doctors are required.
7. That due to heavy financial needs, I decided to cancel my trip to the Philippines
during the Christmas season so I could work double time.
8. That on January 2012, my husband called me and said that he is applying for a
job in Dubai to help me with the financial burden but the job requires license,
processing and recruitment fees, so I sent money to him.
9. That after sending a considerable sum of money, I have not heard of him for six
months.
10. That on December 30, 2013 I received a call from our housemate here in Saudi
who went on a vacation, telling me that he saw my husband with a pregnant
woman holding hands and kissing inside the mall and asked me if we already
separated.
11. That I tried to keep in touch with my husband but it was only when I stopped
sending money that he immediately called me back to ask me why, to which I
replied that I was unsure as to whether or not the account I was sending money
to was still active because I havent received any word from him the past six
months;
12. That I also asked him about what my housemate told me to which he answered
that the pregnant woman he was with was simply a co-worker he assisted due to
the fact that she was pregnant;
13. That around January 02, 2014, I checked his Facebook account and realized that
his account was no longer active;
14. That upon checking the Facebook accounts of his friends, I saw that he was in
some of the pictures with a woman I do not know;
15. That in one of the pictures he was tagged in, the caption was newlyweds;
16. That, feeling alarmed and anxious, I booked a flight to the Philippines in order
see for myself what was happening in the Philippines;
17. That on June 20, 2014 when I arrived in the Philippines late in the afternoon, I
went to the address my husband told me which was supposedly his familys
residence which was located at #5 Gotham Street, Justice Village, Pasig City;
18. That upon arriving, I was received by Mrs. Claudia Powers who was, at sixty,
seemed very healthy.

19. That I asked her about her health condition to which she replied that aside from
taking multivitamins, she was feeling strong and healthy;
20. That on July 02, 2014, having doubts in my mind, I immediately went to the
Local Civil Registry in order to confirm the civil status of my husband;
21. That the civil registrar told me that my husband was married to a certain woman
named Betina Maldita on December 08, 2013 and the marriage was solemnized
in Mariveles, Bataan.
22. That on July 15, 2014 around 8am in the morning I went back to my mother-inlaw to ask for the whereabouts of my husband.
23. That on July 15, 2014 at around 3pm in the afternoon I immediately went to the
address given to me by mother-in-law which was a studio type room in a
condominium they owned located at Unit 1616, Avida Towers Alabang,
Muntinlupa City;
24. That when I got there, because the door was unlocked, I entered the small,
studio type room and saw from the doorway my husband and the other woman
lying down on the bed, hugging;
25. That I caused a scene at around ten in the evening and screamed that I will have
both of them arrested and that they will languish in jail
26. That on July 30, 2014 I consulted my lawyer and narrated to him the series of
events that happened from the start of my suspicion up to the day of my
discovery of the anomalous marriage of my husband;
27. That on August 15,2014 me and my lawyer went to the Prosecutors office in
order to request that a warrant of arrest be issued against my husband and her
second wife.
28. In support of this complaint, I hereunto attached the following:
a. Marriage Certificate of My Marriage in Saudi Arabia (Annex A)
b. Marriage Certificate of Clark and Betina (Annex B)
c. Photographs (Annex C)
d. Warrant of Arrest (Annex D)
29. I am therefore executing this affidavit freely and voluntarily in support of any
intent to file a case for BIGAMY against the two named respondent, Clark
Medina and Betina Maldita Medina.
