The Capital Region Area is (Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri)
plus settlements within 50km radius. The Capital Region encompasses a total area of 8,603.32 sq. km including hills and forests and is spread in both Krishna and Guntur districts. It covers 26 full mandals in Guntur district and 30 full mandals in Krishna district . Development density in key cities/towns (source census 2011)

Nearly 360 houses will be
removed against the original plan proposal for removal of 3,600 houses. The foundation stone for the planned city was laid on 22 October 2015. 2011 population , the town had a population of 13,400. Population constitute 6,432 males and 6,958 females
The location chosen for the Capital
City is in the vicinity of Vijayawada and 20 km from Guntur. It falls in Thullur, Mangalagiri, Tadepalli Mandals of Guntur District with an area of 217.23 Sq. kms Amaravati Road connects the village with city of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh capital city areas of Undavalli, Penumaka, Rayapudi. While, the GunturAmaravathi Road connects it with the district headquarters, Guntur. It also has road connectivity from Sattenapalle, Mangalagiri and Krosuru.
