HISTORY Reik
Reik is a Mexican band from Mexico, Baja California formed by Jess Alberto
Navarro Rosas (principal vocals), Julio Ramrez Egua (guitar/background
vocals), and Gilberto Marn Espinoza (guitar). The group's name actually means
"rake" (as in raking the guitar's strings), but the band wanted their Mexican
listeners to pronounce it correctly, hence, Reik.
In 2003, Abelardo Vazquez ended their then-nascent musical project, tentatively
called "Reik". Abelardo Vazquez invited Jess Navarro and Julio Ramirez to
record their first demos, which were released through theMexican underground
club scene. Two of the most successful demos: "Levemente" and "Ahora Sin Ti"
In early 2004, Reik invited Gilberto to join the band. They have been famous ever
since, mainly in Latin America, Mexico, and the United States. Their videos have
been broadcast on famous music television channels, such as MTV and HTV.
Their second studio album,Secuencia, was released on December 12, 2006,
which featured the first single, "Invierno" (released on September 18), which
gained a lot of popularity based Latin American airplay. On September 30, 2008
Reik released their third studio album Un Da Ms, for which they won the Latin
Grammy Award for Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2009.
Reik confirmed their participation in the Via del Mar International Song Festival
in February 2015, and won the Silver and Golden Seagull after their presentation.
In April of 2016 Reik launches in platforms digital his new
disc "Des /Amor"

Also, In 2004 he joined group Gilberto Marn Espinoza "Bibi",

closing the circle for the Group Reik, still had to wait until
August 2005 to begin recording the first demo. This Pop trio
highlighted for being different one of their first songs "Yo
quisiera" settled quickly in the first places of harmony,
"Levemente" and "Ahora Sin ti" followed, and now no one
can stop this Mexican group. In the city of Mexico, Reik has
obtained a "Platinum" by the sale of more than 100,000 albums, and also for 20
consecutive weeks remained in the top 10 for popularity on the radio.

He was born on 9th, July in Mexicali, Baja California.

From the six years he began to sing in choirs and
masses. His musical influences are diverse, John Mayer,
Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, among others. In
addition, likes to play the piano.
Jesus is the main voice of the Group Reik, a group that
emerged in 2005, and from the first moment caused
impact in the public, especially youth, with a romantic and
modern proposal.

Julio Ramrez Eguia (acoustic guitar)

He was born on 21 of December in Mexicali, B.C. At age

12 he see his interest in music and asks you to buy him
his first guitar. At age 14, formed his first musical group
Within. This group soon began to popularize is among
the people of his age and were invited to festivals local.
At the age of 15 "Ahora Sin Ti" composed his first song
now along with some of his friends including Jess
Navarro. Then at the suggestion of Jesus and Gerardo
Barreto, they decided to form a group and recorded the
song "Levemente", which also quickly become part of the
taste of the public and invite them to occur in all local
television programs.
While attending high School at the Tecnologico of
Monterrey participated in a talent contest, where He were
one of the 10 finalists and presented at the Hard rocked
live. During the holidays he wrote together with his cousin Roberto Valdez song
"Como me duele" which without imagining it at that was then selected to form the
Repertoire of the first disc of Reik.
In Guadalajara, he received a call from Jess Navarro, who would like to inform
you that disks sony company was interested in the music group and sign a
contract; Return to Mexicali and sign the contract with Sony in the city of los
Angeles, California, and began taking classes in guitar, vocal and experimenting
with the piano.

 Gilberto Marn Espinoza (Elctric guitar)

He was born on 26th, January in the city of Mexicali, B.C.
At age 11 he found a guitar in the closet of his home, and
since then it hasnt left her in peace. Always enthusiasm
with music and the 17 years formed a garage band. At 19,
his cousin Micky Sandoval invites you to be part of a group
of Antrero covers and from that invitation, hasnt stopped
playing in all scenarios. It was the last part of Reik, their
musical influences include Radiohead, Incubus, Ceratti,.
He likes to read, meditate, party is and go out with their
friends.

The 24th, May of the 2005 take your album self-titled debut, in where
predominated the pop and them ballads, obtained disc of Platinum and gold by
the sale of more than 150 000 copies in Mexico. Is can tell that these copies is
placed as result of the promotion of so only his first single entitled "Yo quisiera".
The second single of his discography is called "Que vida la ma", that had a
success moderate. Then came the simple to "Noviembre sin ti", "La nia" and
"Vuelve", which had a good success.

The 21th, November of the 2006, for this new disc Reik is dips in the rock in
Spanish, the pop classic, the rock pop and alternative in English to achieve so
the disc that would lead by name Secuencia, engraving to end of the 2006 and
to two weeks of its launch was disc of gold.
This album wasnt with the same success of the first, but became that Reik was
devoting as one of the most popular bands. Three of the 11 songs were written
by the group.
This disc came off easy "Invierno", which achieved good positions within the lists.
They then released their second single called "Me duele Amarte", a ballad which
sounded much in radio, then "De que sirve". This song is different from the others
with a sound more rock, and although they never released the song "Sabes" how
simple, this song came to be in the taste of the public. Their tour took them to visit
almost all America. Principles they sang in the Miss World Festival in Puerto Rico.
The international fair of Barquisimeto (Venezuela) sang before more than 120
000 people. Reik was in the program Fusiona2 Fonseca, where instead of
singing a song of another artist they wrote their own song called "Pobre Corazn",
which used the accordion.

Their third album titled Un da ms. Then they take out a simple separate
together with Maite Perroni called "Mi Pecado", for the novel of the same name.
In October, Reik compiled the album Un da ms, where added songs such as
"Mi Pecado", "Ms cerca de ti", among others, to release a special edition of the
album.
Reik was the winner at the 2009 MTV awards as best pop group and Latin
Grammy best album, duo or group with Un da Ms.

Peligro Disk
It was his fourth Studio album, recorded and
mixed at Sonic Ranch (in the State of Texas,
USA.) By Fabrizio Simoncioni and produced
by Kiko Cibrin and Ettore Grenci. April 4,
2011 came out the first simple danger from
the new album called Peligro.
On 26 July of 2011 was made official the
second single 'Peligro' album, entitled Tu
mirada Reik. After several experiments, Reik
decides to return to ballads, characterizing
them as a group, the third single is called
Creo en ti this song has an acoustic sound
and ballad. The fourth single is called Igual a Nada.

"Des/Amor" DISK
After five years of not enter to the study of
recording, the trio Mexican Reik just of
launching its new plate label.
"Des / Amor" is the new disc that Jesus, Bibi
and Julio have since in platforms digital from
this Friday, work that arrives after the
extensive tour that carried out by Mexico,
Central America, South America and United
States with "Tour
Peligro".
The new material contains 11 tracks, nine
produced by Kiko Cibrian. "We only have
tonight" was a load by Michael Hodges and Ken Caillat, production while "Ya me
enter" it had the participation of Nicky Jam and Saga Whiteblack production.
After his first single "Voy a olvidarte", which accumulated over 24 million views
on VEVO, Reik presented his second song entitled "Ya me enter", which already
exceeded 23 million views. This is a ballad that shows this trio return to its roots
and is authored by Julio Ramrez, singer-songwriter, Member of the band and
composer of many of the great successes of the Group alongside Pambo.

"Des/Amor" It contains the following songs: "Qu Gano Olvidndote",

"Vmonos Lejos", "De Rodillas", "Voy a Olvidarte", "Spanglish", "Un Amor
de Verdad", "Ya Me Enter", "We Only Have Tonight", "Nufragos", "Al Fin

CONCLUSION
Reik nowadays is a very popular in its kind group and obtain much more
popularity with songs that feel the audience identify with them.
It is a trio of guys who compose their own songs and in performances like
the public in its entirety.
