than 20 years. Following requests of partner schools, ADC launched its new centre in Ireland in 2016. ADC College

participants more successful when navigating the international labour market.

Since 2011, ADC has organised more than 7000 quality internships in public and private sector companies. Erasmus+
funded projects that were implemented in partnership with ADC have received the highest marks from National
Agencies in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland. The college has long-lasting partnership agreements
with more than 120 schools across Europe and is one of the largest work placement providers in the UK.

Skills and Expertise of Key Staff

ADC Colleges Work Placement Officers have extensive experience in monitoring participants progress during the
placement and in helping them to deal with the specific situations they face. ADC College mentors are highly qualified,
with extensive experience in delivering outcome-focused professional development programmes based on knowledge
transfer, empowerment and quality management. Due to constant contact with participants from a variety of European
countries, ADC College staff are highly trained in dealing with intercultural matters, helping participants to develop
their full potential with regard to gaining professional experience in an unknown environment, increasing selfconfidence, and acquiring transferable skills to equip them for their future careers. Placement officers do not only
mentor students but are also in constant contact with work placement partners, so that the quality of work placements
and the development of students can be constantly monitored.
Country Managers take care of project participants and provide inter-cultural training and inductions to increase the
quality of the participants stay in London. As an international team made up of EU nationals from Austria, Germany,
Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom, Italy, and Ireland, all
Country Managers are sensitive to all aspects of working and living abroad, due to their own experience of living and
working in an international environment. Country Managers also help Sending Organisations prepare the participants
by providing them with detailed information about their stay, informing them of work placement requirements and
local customs, and helping Partner Organisations find information relevant to international mobility. Country Managers
share good practice with Sending Organisations and encourage improvement across all work placement projects. They
validate Europasses and project- related documentation, as well as facilitate effective information flow between the
Sending Organisation and ADC College departments and partner companies.
In-house trainers are university- and/or practice-qualified language or professional subject trainers/teachers, that
coach project participants in work related areas, to help them excel abroad or in their home country. Language
teachers are qualified to Celta or Delta level and provide tuition in accordance with British Council quality guidelines.
