PORSCHE 911 RSR

1973

The chassis of this iconic Martini Porsche RSR clone came from a 1973 2.4T
Sportmatic and started its racing life in 1986 with Pete Chambers.
The car was only mildly modified at this time to suite the BF Goodrich series
the car competed in this series until 1989 when it was bought by Mathew
Birch and shipped to HK, coincidently the same year I moved to HK, Mathew
modified the car to RS spec and competed in the PCHK Championship for
around 3 years when he traded up to the 964RS (which I'm sure he wishes he
still owned !!).
The car was sold to Adrian Brady who was probably the most successful
owner till this time. The car underwent a major rebuild modifying suspension
brakes engine and transmission. Initially campaigned in the PCHK, then the
HK Classic car series,
Adrian sold the car to Clive Bate around 96/97. The car was now outclassed
in the PCHK and stayed with the HK Classic car series. During Clive's
custodianship of the car it was morphed from RS spec to the much-loved
Martini RSR that we see today.
The car is mechanically in a superb condition. The engine just completed an
overhaul and was upgraded to 3800cc according the specifications below.

Dampers, brakes are all in top condition. This car is prepared to the highest
standard and ready to race.
Since 1986 Barry Forth had the pleasure of preparing and maintaining this car.
These cars are relatively easy to drive and very rewarding if you can tame the
beast.
