1 Introduction

Introduction

ThisguidedescribestheVMwarevSphereplug-infortheQlikDeploymentConsole(QDC).
ThisdocumentisderivedfromtheonlinehelpforQlikSense.Itisintendedforthosewhowanttoreadparts
ofthehelpofflineorprintpageseasily,anddoesnotincludeanyadditionalinformationcomparedwiththe
onlinehelp.
Aplug-inisaZIPfilethatcontainsallDLLfilesneededtodeployQlikSensesitesinaspecificcloud
computingenvironment.

2.1 QlikDeploymentConsole
TheQlikDeploymentConsole(QDC)mustbeinstalledonthetargetmachineandthefollowingitemsmust
beavailableandconfiguredintheQDC:
l QlikSensesetupfile
l QlikSenselicenseobject
l vSphereserviceuserobject

AvSphereaccountisneeded.

2.3 vSphereoptions
ThevSphereplug-inprovidesdifferentoptionswhenitcomestocreatingnodesinQlikSensesites,as

3.1 Creatingsites
This procedure is used to create a new central node.
ProceedasfollowstocreateaQlikSensesitebasedontheVMwarevSphere(vSphere)plug-in:
1. SelectSitesintheleftpanel.
2. ClickCreate new sitetocreateanewsite.
3. SelectthevSphere environmentorvSphere environment (machine pool)plug-in.
