FRAMEWORK
The CAE / CAM Techniques Course, Theoretical-Practical component, should be
Focus on the analysis and understanding of the contents addressed in the
component
Theoretical. Therefore, it should be sought to develop in the students
Understanding, writing and knowledge development for scenarios
Emerging concepts based on the concepts of Computer Assisted Engineering
(CAE)
And Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM). At the same time,
To carry out, on the part of the teacher, expositions of the most relevant
technological aspects,
In order to sustain and delimit the mentioned scenarios.
2. OBJECTIVES
(I) Recognition of the development stages / tasks of a project in the
Computer Assisted Engineering Techniques (CAE) and Manufacturing
Computer Assisted (CAM).
(Ii) Autonomy in:
- Research and study of the elements needed for the project in question.
- Design and implementation of CAE / CAM techniques to the problem under
study.
- Preparation of the final report.
Project steps
(1) Formulate the problem.
(2) Conduct a requirement analysis for the problem.
(3) Analyze the different possible options for solving the problem formulated.
(4) Discredit the problem model.
(5) Carry out model simulations and validation.
(6) Document the different stages of the project.
3. GROUPS
The work will be carried out by groups of 5 students.

4. FINAL REPORT
All written papers should be prepared in accordance with the rules below.
Presented in Paper / digital format.
The paper must have a maximum of 30 pages, and delivered up to the date of
01/09/2017.
All attachments must be submitted in digital form.
Report formatting
(I) First page
The first page should present the title of the Work (Bold, Times New Roman,
Centered), authors name and date.
(Ii) Body of text
1. The body of text must have a Times New Roman
Size of 12pts (normal) and 12pts (bold) for titles.
2. The left and right margin should be 2 cm, 3 cm to the top margin
And 2.5 for the lower one. The text should be justified and presented in a single
column.
3. Line spacing should be 1.5pts, using double spacing
Between paragraphs and between title / text body.
4. Pages should be numbered in the lower right corner, except for the
first.
5. Figures and Tables should be numbered, 10pts font size and Times New
Roman as font. The quality of the figures should be at least 300 dpi.
Example:
Figure 1.1 / Figure 2.1 - 3D scanning. (Placed below the Figure)
Table 1.1 / Table 2.1 - Invested Capital. (Placed above the Table)
6. The equations (in case of existence) must be numbered, with font size
10pts and Times New Roman as font.
Example:
2 + 1 =? !? (1)
7. References
In the text the references should be cited by [1], [2] or [3, 4], and presented in
the
End of Report, as shown below:

specifications..etc.)
6. EVALUATION
The mark for the theoretical-practical component should be considered as 30% of
the
End of UC. Classifications should be quantified on a scale of 0 to 20 values.
The note on the theoretical-practical component should be obtained as follows:
(I) Assessment of problem formulation and requirements analysis (10%).
(Ii) Consideration of the theoretical approach to the requirements for
Problems (20%).
(Iii) Evaluation of the methodologies used to solve the problems (30%).
(Iv) Appreciation of the results and their consistency with the theoretical
approach
(30%).
(V) Consideration of the final report (30%).
The final grade of the theoretical-practical component is subject to a minimum
mark of 10

Values.
