Hi,

I realise this isn't officially supported, but my laptop was recently upgraded to a machine running Windows 7 64-bit. I am trying to install
CodeWarrior for PowerPC 5XX v8.7 (using "run as administrator") but the installer eventually errors out saying:
"The wizard was interrupted before CodeWarrior Development Studio, MPC5xx Edition, v8.7 could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again"
Click Finish to exit the wizard".
Has anybody come across this or tried to install Code Warrior for MPC5xx v8.7 on Windows 7? Is there a workaround?
Many thanks in advance,
Arnaud

But the symptoms were the same - "was interrupted" message. Hope it will work also for CW for PowerPC
You need to find working 32bits Win XP machine and install CW there. Then:
2) Copy whole CW folder from Win32 machine to Win7 machine (Program Files\CodeWarrior xxxx)
3) Now, this step is the MOST IMPORTANT:
Look at the file "Mwregsvr.exe" in the c:\Program Files(x86)\Freescale\CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers V6.1\bin and click the right button on
this file, then click properties.
Now, in the compatibility tab,set the compatibility to WindowsXp (sp2) and set the checkbox
to run in administrator mode.
Now, click apply button then click OK button.
4) In the same folder, run once the file regservers.bat
When windows ask for the permisions, just click yes everytime.
5) You may want to create a desktop icon at this point.

Does anyone know if using SP3 is better or worse than SP2 for this application?
