Rationale

Nowadays, Mathematics is one of the subject that most students do not score well
whether in the school or college.The role of teacher in the classroom is important to ensure
that the understanding of student in the class in the process of learning. In this case, the way
of teacher teach is very significant to make sure that student in the class is interest in learning
mathematic.So teachers need to improve method of teaching and should be able to construct
new teaching skills in order to promote students interest in mathematics subject. Because all
of that, we have decide to make the Seminar on treasure the mathematic teachers.
Throught this seminar we have construct a very detail of outline on the way how to
improve the method of teacher in teaching skill in the classroom in order to promote students
interest in mathematics subject.Basically there have 2 main objective of this seminar is.
Firstly is to introduce interactive teaching techniques for mathematics teacher. Interactive
teaching techniques here meaning that of instructing whereby the teachers actively involve the
students in their learning process by way of regular teacher-student interaction, student
interaction,

use

of audio-visuals,

and hands-on

demonstrations, an

example

is

brainstorming.The students are constantly encouraged to be active participants. Secondly, is to


create networking among mathematics teachers in Selangor. It is allow teachers to share idea
with each other. Comparing notes on classroom teaching techniques and learning styles can
help enhance the learning experience in the classroom. One can also share lesson plans and
visual aid ideas. Then is also give benefit in partnership with other schools. It allows teachers
to connect with teachers in other school.
So via this seminar the teacher can make improvement on their teaching method to be
more interactive, they will know how to use a different teacher aids an example power point ,
game ,puzzle and quiz . Moreover , the teacher should be able to construct new teaching skills
in mathematics subject. Further more teacher can create networking among mathematics
teachers in Selangor.

3.0 The Curriculum

3.1 Need analysis


In order to determine the objective and learning outcomes for the seminar, an
interview has been done. A few questions related to findings the problems faced by
Mathematics teachers on their techniques of teaching and the effectiveness have been carried
out. The interview was held on school hours at different school randomly. The questions
asked were:

Do you want to increase your teaching techniques towards interesting and effective

learning?

current teaching techniques?
7. Have you ever dream to be a favourite teacher because of your interesting teaching
techniques?
8. Have you ever dream that all your students could get an A?
9. How many percentage your dream As students?
10. Do you want to treasure the best techniques in teaching Mathematics that would
make your students getting an A?

From this questionnaire, we can know how many people especially our target group
interest with our programme.For the interview, the general idea of the needs of the seminar is
to treasure the best techniques Mathematics subjects

3.2 Philosophy

In Best Math Edu Sdn Bhd, we offer a creative and positive experience for all
participants. Instead, as a professional consultant clinic for Mathematics teachers, we
try to make sure that each participants can perform our interactive techniques,
regardless of ability or experience. Our seminar wants to make Mathematics learning
become fun. We believe that effective learning comes from good and interesting
techniques. Strategy in teaching should be precisely enjoyable eventhough the topics
is the toughest topic.
We believe that every moment in our seminar can be one of experience,
discovery, meaningful, and collaboration. Our experience coaches and staff are always
looking for new ways to improve Malaysia Education to the higher level. Every
session for teachers have goal to help them become an interesting and interactive

3.3 Vision and Mission

3.3.1 Mission
We are committed to providing educational and recreational seminar, services, and facilities in
order to promote interactive and interesting teaching techniques in Mathematics subject.
Besides, our mission is to help teachers feel confidence during the lesson and the goal we
have set for themselves. For this reason, we promote strategies and indication for teachers on
how to have best techniques during Mathematics lesson. We pursue quality and engaging
solutions to help teachers faced problems occured in the classroom.

3.3.2 Vision
Our vision is to produce charismatic teachers that can produce many As students. We design
and develop solutions attuned to our corporate vision: being a top famous consultant in
Mathematics education in Malaysia.

spread it during their lesson with confidence.

interactive, interesting, enjoyable and effective learning.
3. Participants should be able to create networking among them in order for sharing
experience and help each other
4. Participants should be able to brainstorm their own techniques with the guidance from
the consultant.

3.7 Methodology

1) In this Treasure the Mathematics Teacher, the methods used to impart the knowledge to
the participants is based on theory and practical.
2) In theory, the participants learns about the characteristics of students behaviour,how to fit
their behaviour with teaching techniques and how to confident during teaching session
using new techniques learned.
3) In practical, participants learns how to use computer software for teaching techniques
