Instructions to Students

This assessment is divided into two parts; all activities must be completed with Microsoft Word or another compatible word-processing
program, using the templates supplied.
Part 1: Training Needs Self-assessment
Use template Training Needs Self-assessment.
Complete the Oliver Trading Training Needs Self-Assessment. Make sure you refer to your job description and the feedback you received on
your Assessment Task 2 Research and develop work goals, plans and performance measurement strategies.
Part 2: Personal and Professional Development Plan
Use template Table A: Personal and Professional Development Plan
Identify areas where your job performance could be improved (includeskills and knowledge or experience).
Incorporate into response:
o Your completed Training Needs Self-Assessment.
o The feedback from your Performance Feedback Reports (Assessment task 2)
What learning activities could you undertake to improve your personal and professional performance? Include details of learning activities as
Attachment A.

o Research some ways you could include networking activities in your professional development plan.

o Reflect on how this time management tool can assist you to meet your goals. Include discussion onhow you can maintain an
appropriate work life balance and ensure stress is effectively managed and health is attended to.

Range and Conditions of Assessment

This assessment requires the student to have access to resources in the workplace, or involvement in a community organisation e.g. scouts,
volunteer organisations, church groups etc., or a simulated environment as per the resources provided such as Oliver Trading.

All assessment tasks must be completed and submitted, according to the details included in the section above, Instructions to Students.
