WCAG Guidelines

Evaluation/Notes

Guideline 1.1 : Text Alternatives

-All the images & large titles include captions that serve as pure decoration
- guidelines followed
-Dark grey nav bar on very top needs to display larger text
-Blog page needs larger & darker titles
-The social media page needs text alternatives

Guideline 1.2 : Time-based media -There are no Time-based Media Ive noticed on main site
Guideline 1.3 : Adaptable

-The site has an organized structure - guidelines followed


-The site is compatible w/ chrome, IE, firefox, & small screens
-Information is brief & links are provided in text
-In the about us page, video is oddly placed & lacks quality
-More visuals on donation page

Guideline 1.4 : Distinguishable

-Color isnt the only visual used to convey info-guidelines followed


-The light beige color isnt highly saturated & enriches UX
-Text can be zoomed to 200% without loosing quality
-Sub-Navigation page links should be dark 1

Guideline 2.1 : Keyboard
Accessible

-The site content is still functionable without specific keystrokes, but the
whole site cannot be navigated just through use of keyboard - which means
it's not fully keyboard accessible b/c mouse nav is needed occasionally

Guideline 2.2 : Enough Time

-Rest of site provides users with enough time to read/use content, except
homepage slideshow.
- The slideshow on homepage is automatic, which is fine, but the time period
between each slides needs to be extended to give enough time for user to
read title & caption

Guideline 2.3 : Seizures

-The site content does not flash more than 3X, & no sudden pop ups,
guideline is followed

Guideline 2.4 : Navigable

-All pages are titled from what Ive looked at


-Links are within text/buttons - guidelines followed
-Jobs page may need heading

Guideline 3.1 : Readable

-All site pages have understandable content


-Easy to read for me, but the about us and main page includes some terms
not familiar to all
-Otherwise, guidelines are followed

Guideline 3.2 : Predictable

-Navigation is consistent - guidelines followed

Guideline 3.3 : Input Assistance

-There are labels for user-input content


-Helpdesk/FAQ present to prevent user mistakes/errors
-In contact page, the form notifies user if wrong/no information is put it, and
user can fix/delete contents
-If edit option is still available after submitting forms, it would facilitate
prevention of mistakes - but guidelines followed

Guideline 4.1 : Compatible

-Site is compatible with different browsers


-Guidelines followed
