How to Install WTE on a PenDrive

1 - Download WTE_Install.exe.

2 - Unpack it, you should have WTE_Setup.exe and WTE_Package.exe files in the same
folder:.

3 - You could also save your .wim builds to this folder:

4 - Run WTE_Setup.exe and follow instructions:

Insert Password and click Next

You will have 3 attempts:

For a Pen Drive first time WTE Setup you must perform a WTE Install.
Note that you will need administrator privileges to perform a WTE Install!

It will be presented a list of detected disks, including Hard Drives and USB Pen Drives.
With caution write the number corresponding to the Disk (Pen Drive) where to install WTE and
click Next:

You will be prompted to confirm if the one chosen is the right disk where to install WTE:

This procedure will permanently erase all the contents from the selected disk, so you will be
prompted to confirm that you are choosing the right disk and to write ERASE in order to
proceed:

The digital support will be formatted and prepared to allow it to be bootable:

Then WTE_Package.exe will be unpacked to WTE Pen Drive.

If more than one Package saved in the folder you will have to choose the Package to install:

You will be asked to select the desired options for Boot Menu:

WTE Builder will save at a folder named Copy2WTE_sourcesa .wim file correctly named
according Windows version building.
This .wim files must be saved at WTE Pen Drive in folder sources.

You could previously save the needed .wim files in WTE_Setup.exe folder:

In this case setup will automatically copy this .wim files to WTE Pen Drive:

If not, dont forget to copy it manually, or WTE Pen Drive will not Boot!

Before booting WTE you must validate it:

During Setup it will be created a file named WTE_validation.key:

Upload this file at http://www.pedrogilberto.net/digital_forensics/WTE_Validation

In return it will be sent to you a validation file named license that you must save in Boot
folder at WTE Pen Drive.
Do Not boot WTE before saving license file at Boot folder, or else you have to install WTE
again.

If a previous WTE installation was detected in the Pen Drive (if it wasnt previously formatted)
you will be asked to choose between Install and Update
Note that for WTE Update you will not need administrator privileges!

If you choose WTE UPDATE:

You will be prompted to confirm that the disk you want to use is the one mounted at letter
and that you want to erase all content from that disk, and write ERASE to continue:

Then all process is similar to the above mentioned.

You can Quit any time just pressing Esc key:

If you choose WTE INSTALL:

You will be prompted to confirm that the disk you want to use is the one mounted at letter
and that you want to erase all content from that disk, and write ERASE to continue:

Then all process is similar to the above mentioned.

At WTE pen drive, inside Programs\Sources folder;

You can save your own logo saving logo.bmp (default size: 427x427)
You can configure your agency info saving a message.txt with the following info:

Do Not boot WTE before saving license file at Boot folder, or else you have to install WTE
again.
