Teacher Candidate, Grade 3. Dakota Prairie Elementary, Brookings, SD. January 2017-Present.
Create and implement lesson plans that include the goals made by the clinical educator. Take part in the
evaluation of student progress and participate in open dialogue with clinical educator regarding ideas, thoughts,
and plans. Utilize classroom management skills.



Substitute Teacher. Elkton Public School, Elkton, SD. August 2016-January 2017.


Taught students from preschool to 12th grade. Used behavior management strategies that were flexible with each
grade level of students. Taught lessons and gave assessments that were provided by the teachers. Spent a day
learning much about special education while working with a child who had profound physical and mental
disabilities.

Teacher Candidate. Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education, Brookings, SD. January-May 2016.

Worked with children between the ages of 3-4 years. Collaborated with a teaching team to provide classroom
management. Developed and implemented two full weeks of lesson plans in the classroom. Led three parent-
teacher conferences during the semester, highlighting their childrens achievements in all developmental areas.
Program accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children.


Assistant Teacher. Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education, Brookings, SD. September-December 2015.

Assisted the lead student teachers. Taught several individualized lessons to students, focused primarily on letter
recognition and writing.


Kindergarten Religious Education Teacher (Volunteer). Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Elkton, SD.
September 2012- May 2013 & September 2014- May 2015.


Created weekly lesson plans that lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes for between 6 to 12 children. Utilized materials
provided as well as those I created myself.





OTHER EXPERIENCE

Line Worker. Larson Manufacturing, Brookings, SD. May 2013-August 2013, January 2014-August 2014, May 2015-
January 2017

Built parts of windows and doors on a line for 40 hours/week in the summers, and between 16-20 hours during
school semesters. Managed time in an efficient manner, while ensuring quality products were built. Worked
alongside coworkers for 2-3 hours at a time, which helped build communication skills. Trained new employees.
