Fill the hose with lvater and raise the pressure
to 70 kPa ( 0.7 kgf/cm ). Allow all air to escape
through stop cock by raising the free end of the
hose and again rebuild
the pressure to 70 kPa.
Sow kink the hose through
180 at approximately 50 cm from the free end by tying the hose
back against itself as close to the fitting as practicable. Increase the pressure at a rate not exceeding 1 MPa ( 10.2 kgf/cm2 ) per minute
to 2.1
MPa ( 2 I.4 kgf/c&

pressure
has been attained,
retain it for 30 seconds, release the pressure, examine it for sign of leakage
and damage.
There shall be no sign of leakage
or rupture
and no thread
in the jacket shall
break.
