Bible Verse Essay

The past few days in school we have been talking about several terms which include
hypothesis, conclusion, conditional, converse, inverse, contrapositive, and counterexamples.
During math class we did a bible activity so we could practice these terms.
My bible verse was Jesus said to her, did I not tell you that if you believe you will see
the glory of God? Our conditional statement is if you believe then you will see the glory of God.
We decided that this verse is true because if you believe then you will see the glory of God. The
next one we did was converse our statement is if you see the glory of God, you will believe this
statement is also true. Our inverse statement is if you dont believe, you wont see the glory of
God. We discussed that this statement is also true. Our contrapositive one is if you dont see the
glory of God, you wont believe, this is also true. All of our statements are true so we didnt have
a counterexample to share. This project was confusing because some of them could be true but
also some could have been false, after discussing this with Mrs. Profeta and our class we talking
about it and realized why they were all true. The one statement we thought was false was the
contrapositive one which was if you dont see the glory of God, you wont believe. This was the
hardest one we came across because no matter if you see the glory of God or not you can still
believe in him and the truths.
I really enjoyed doing this activity because I got to know my partner better but also because
we were learning my doing something different. One of the things I got out of this was learning
more about our terms in geometry but also learning about God and different verses we talked
about. I hope in the future we do something like this, it is cool how you can have fun while you
are learning about a new topic in school.
