1) Nakshatra Chintamani by Chandrakant R Bhatt.
This book has always been out of print and one has to find ways and means of acq
uiring the same. The traditional Astrologers most of them most of the times find
themselves at cross roads when it comes to Predictions, though they are experts
at Theory work. But this is not astrology. One is interested in our Predictions
and not in our lectures on character or nature analysis when one comes to us wi
th his chart. This book will teach you how to predict in the most simplest manne
r ever you may have ever imagined. Once you understand this book after a couple
of readings through the numerous illustrations given in same, you will be able t
o consider yourself as a KP Astrologer.
Comments I recommend this book for any astrologer who wishes to fine tune his pr
edictions. You will thank me after you have gone through it.
2) Further Lights on Nakahatra Chintamani by Chandrakant R Bhatt.
(This book is an extension Book written on the above world famous Book Nakshatra
Chintamani by the same author.)
3) Nirayana Horoscopes and Western aspects by Chandra kant Bhatt
Comments Again this author is renowned and so are his books. This particular boo
k is valuable for those who know Western astrology, aspects, terms etc.
4) Horoscopes and Diseases by Chandrakant Bhatt
Comments This is a must have book for a medical Astrologer by this renowned auth

Comments- Who does not know this man? His previous books are also in much demand
in the market at any given time.

7) Varahamihira's Brihat Jataka by V.Subramanya Sastri.
I have got quite a few translations of the Brihata Jatak, but not any as good as
this one.
The second edition of this book was published in 1971. The best part of this boo
k is that after every shloka the Notes given by the author compile almost every
other author in the rendering of the meaning of the shloka, given alongwith expl
anations. This is like few teachers explaining the same shloka to us in first pe

rson. The index of this Book itself contains 32 Pages and one can immediately se
arch for the shlokas of any event one is looking for.
Comments This is a must have book to refer to by any novice or Expert in astrolo
gy.
8) Shreepathy Padhaty by Subramanium Shastry.
(This Book will help only those Astrologers who want to learn Calculations on th
is. It will not help one who is looking for learning predictive Part)

9) Missing Links of Hindu Astrology by NN Krishna Rau
Comments All his books needless to say are worth keeping in one's personal Libra

10) Nakshatra, Tithi and Gochara Phala by NN Krishna Rau
The name is Self explanatory and the author is renowned for his simplicity yet e
ffective approach towards astrology.
11) Hora Ratna Mala

Comments I have not read this in detail.

12) Commercial Ever Ready Numerology by Pt. Ganga Prasad
(Best application of Numbers to forecasting Market prices and winners in Lotteri
es and Horse racing etc.)
This book was written it seems before 1960's in time of Rupees and annas. Some u
se of Western astrology (Aspects) as well as Dhruvank etc. has been done to reac
h desired results. The author has given rules of forecasting daily rise and fall
in prices of commodities and Shares. A good number of examples have been presen
ted as illustrations.
Comments I have not personally used the principles mentioned therein for am not
into Racing, Lottery or into Shares. (At least not presently).
13) Planetary influence on markets Revised by NL Patel.
This book too it seems as been written in 1935 and extra Saturnine planets have
been taken into account. This book does not deal with regards to gambling or Rac
ing, but only connected to Shares, Stocks, Cotton, and Bullion Markets. The auth
or mentions that this is his Life time study.

14) Market forecasting by Fakir Chandra Dutt
This Book too deals with Forecasting Price fluctuations, for Wheat, Sugar,Rice,C
otton,Rubber,Jute, Bullion and Individual Shares. The author is obviously a Beng
ali writer and seems knowledgable. Here also the stage is set before the `1950's
when the book was written. Western astrology has been used here too.

15) Perpetual Market forecast and Business Astrology by Ganga Prasad
This Book deals totally with aspects, and conjunctions formed in different signs
by different planets, what they mean in every sign and how they will affect the
prices (fall or rise or keep them steady)

16) Vyapaar Chintamani (Hindi) by Pandit Bhaskar Gangadhar ji
(Excellent book for those in Stock Markets) THIS IS IN HINDI

17) Aadhunik Teji mandi ka vichaar (Hindi) by Pundit Gangaprasad ji

(Excellent book for those in Stock Markets) THIS IS IN HINDI

18) Vedic Numerology. By Shri GV Chaudhary published from Bhartiya Vidya Bhuvan,
Mumbai.
This is a rare book and an advanced book on astrology conjoined with astronomy n
ot easy for all to understand. This was first published in 1968. This book conta
ins illustrations on how to find the longevity of a Native to his day of death.
It also contains illustrations on how to find the marriage day of a native. This
book is not meant for an Ordinary student. (Pages 365)
Comments -This book whether one may understand or not, is worth keeping. Its the
only one of its kind in the world.
19) Indian Astrology by C.J. Krishnaswamy.
First published in 1956. This is a basic book on Indian astrology but among the
best I found in 25 years of journey through books. Here certain approaches are m
entioned in such a simpler and novel manner and methods that one cannot help but
marvel at the truths which so strikingly we may have missed all these years tho
ugh in front of us always.
Comments I recommend this for all New entrants and Experts also for reading and
understanding all the Lagnas, houses, concepts, ways of examining the Horoscope,
and how to predict .
20) Nadi System of prediction (Stellar Astrology) by Rattanlal.
First edition in 1983. This book is small in number of Pages but very vast in in
formation. It contains the Original Predictive Principles of Nadi Astrology whic
h may be an eye opener to all, because a glaring fact may open up in front of Yo
u, that nadi astrology of the ancients was actually all based on nakshatras and
Gunas of the Planets. This is the Original work from which KP (Krishnamurthy Pad
haty has evolved)
Comments All may not understand this. So only who prefer Nakshatra in Nadi may r
equest for this book.

This is again a very old book which is a compendium of articles on Mars by the g
reat authors of those times. One will be introduced to the world of Mars factor in
details and knowledge coming directly from savants in this field.
Comments A must read.

23) Research Studies in Hindu Astrology by R. Lakshamanan
This seems to be some good writer astrologer as his book contain a foreword by D
r.BV Raman, another foreword by Y.Kesava Menon, and another foreword by P.S. Sas
tri.
Comments Though I have not read it fully but it looks very interesting and one n
eeds good quality time to savour sip by sip from this fat Book containing many e
xamples and explanations.

24) Your Life Partner A Gift or a Curse by R.K. Aneja

A Good book which contains Logic and explanations for Marriage, role of Venus, a
shtakvarga predictions in marriage, timing of marriage, sexual diseases, loose s
ex Life, separation in marriage, intercaste marriage etc.
Comments this is an easy to understand and very much educative book.
25) Jataka Navaneetam by Vemuri V Ramkrishna and Karanam L Ramakumar
This is an advanced Book on nakshatra Jyotish and not meant for a Basic student.
One does not need to know KP for this, but yet he must be at advanced Levels to
understand this.
Comment a Good book for those who can understand.
26) Newly Discovered Secrets of Hindu traditional Astrology by P.Gumpaswamy
Comments - A very educative Book with an Original Logical approach towards expla
ining the "Whys" of the principles in Indian astrology.
27) The use of Navamsha in prognostication by S. Krishna Iyengar.
Comments. This is another rare Gem of a work and only for advanced students of a
strology.
28) Directional astrology of the Hindus by Dr. V.G. Rele
Comments- An old Book but written by a very intelligent author and worth a read.

29) The Greatness of Shri Gayatri jyotish
(This is one of the best Books on Jyotish related to the Gayatri mantra. It star
ts from the first syllable of the Gayatri mantra and co relates the same to the
first nakshatra and The First Raashi Mesh in the Zodiac System, and concludes to
the end with the last nakshatra and raashi Meena. This Book does not teach you
any technique of jyotisha but shows you the interrelations of the Nakshatras jyo
tish with the Gayatri mantra. It also brings you to the origin of the nakshatras
on how they got their names and existence. It is not written by an Astrologer b
ut by an Avadhoot Yogi. This book is worth tens of thousands of Rupees.
30) A Book on medical Astrology (Author Unknown).
This is a fat Book written very well by God knows who, but almost all diseases a
re covered and individually explained, and the significations of astrological ca
uses presented in a lucid manner. I recommend this Book for all those into medic
al Astrology.
31) Astrology and Jyotirvidya by VD Sharma
(This is a book I purchased 30 years ago, but still refer every week. In none of
the 2000 Books I have, have I seen the explanations of nakshatras done so well.
This Book is the Only book which explains the use of Numerology of the Planets
applied to Astrology, and how to locate events. This is the Real book of astrol
ogy written by a Bengali Master).
32) Jataka Narayaneeyam by Surya Narayan Murthy
(A Fat book containing many discussions on the principles of astrology. This is
a bed time Book to enjoy and learn when wife is asleep. It is worth a reading fo
r any Astrologer).
33) The Degrees of the Zodiac symbolized (These are a Set of 2 books written by
Foreign authors(Yogis).
(These are very good Books in fact for both beginners and Experts alike. Here ev
ery degree of the Zodiac is related to some predictions, and one can find out th
e purpose of his Life through intermingling the results of the degrees on the As
cendant, 10th cusp, The degrees of the Sun and the Moon. One can also use this
for relating the same to the antardasha Lords and check theor degrees and the re
sults accorded to them , and find out whats in store for the current and future

antardashas).

This Book is for easy straight predictions and is
but specific predictions are given here for every

in details, and is like a easy ready reckoner to

Comments I did not quite understand it due to small fonts and not so pleasant pr
inting. In This book. The author has used both Hindi and English terms while exp
laining.
36) Janma Lagna and Gochar by Rajendra Raja Sahib
Comments Again a good Book well explained for transit purposes.
37) Jyotisha rahasya tatha Bhrigu Samhita Lekhan Vidhi by Jwala Prasad Varma
Comments I really did not get time to go through this to comment on same.
38) Laxmi Praapti ke liye Gupta Durlabh upaaye (Hindi)
(This book is a compendium of few Books, and I do not know who has done it for t
here are No names given Its a useful Book though undoubtedly).
39) Mantra Vidya by Karnidaan Sethia (Hindi)
A wonderful book on various Mantras for various ailments and ills of the Body, S
oul, and problems occurring in ones Life. Such Books are not available these day
s.

NOTE :- I have purchased all the above books in Black, as I was NOT born when ma
ny of these were written or sold, or was a small boy when it was sold, so could
not have purchased them at that point of time obviously., and at many a times I
have paid exorbitant prices ranging from Rs. 750- to Rs.2500- for many of these
Books and others which List I will be putting up soon (Sayana Books). But I was
never disappointed because when one procures Knowledge, then the cost is immate
rial for the seeker. So whenever you ask me the price please note that it will n
ot be for the Xerox copy, but will also contain my recovery cost of the same. (I
f one begins calculating the Amount I have paid for the Photostat of the number
of pages, then one will be disappointed). Therefore if you are able to pay for k
