Habitat for Humanity Affordable Housing Design
321 Slaughter Ave. Dallas, TX 75214

Introduction
I am very rich man and successful man. I came across this empty
lot at 321 Slaughter Ave. in Dallas, TX one day while I was going
for a drive in my 2018 Nissan gtr Skyline. Since I have so much
money I decided to build a house there because I can. deal with
it.
Since most houses around the neighborhood are trash like Traviss
house, I made the house affordable with quality materials and lots
of backyard space. All the Habitat for humanity guidelines and
building codes have been followed. The outside of the house is
made of brick so it cant be burned down so easily. Dont worry
the inside of the walls have insulation. The house is fully
accessible and meets all of the guidelines set out by the
Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 since there are no second
floors. Remember since we are in the future my car is floating.

Site Analysis
The site for the project 321 Slaughter Ave in the Lakewood area of
Dallas, TX. It is a very small lot in residential area in close
proximity to J.L Long middle school and a big high school with
even bigger students. The lot is rectangular measures 50 along
the street and goes back 120 from the front. There is a condo to
the east so no morning sun.deal with it. But a least you dont
have to look at high school kids. We also checked to see that
there was no used condoms on the property.

Across Slaughter Ave, there is a small apartment complex. Finally

there is another set of condos immediately to the northeast. The
terrain is slopes down in the front so you dont have to worry
about flooding and drowning during heavy storms. The house will
take up most of the side space but leave space in the back for a
pool. Trees will be planted in front of the house because ewe like
trees. A driveway will be added just because we can.
Floor Plan
The floor plan design of this house is super simple so you dont
get lost inside. As soon as you open the door you see a big living
room. The wall have openings connecting the kitchen and dining
room. To the left of the living room is the master bedroom,
bathroom and a bedroom. When you step into the kitchen there is
a refrigerator to the left and stove and sink to the right. The
dining room has a big table because we are very fancy. To the left
there is another bedroom. There is also a back door to reach the
backyard.

Calculations
Per the contract with Habitat for humanity, we did some analysis
on the cost of the concrete pad, and transmission load. The cost
of the concrete we used was $90 and we needed 62.5 cubic yards
of this stuff. Which came out to be $5,625 dollars. The rebar cost
about $4.46 per 10 sections and we needed about 192 rebar.
That cost about $856.32 dollars. The wood forms in total cost
about $700 dollars. The total cost was about $7,199.16 but it
doesnt matter because were rich. The transmission load was
about 10751.372. I know its really highdeal with it. That is
because the insulation layer is very thin. After calculating all the
transmission loads, the greatest heat loss occurred through the
windows. As a result we placed the most expensive air

conditioning known to man because we have mucho dinero.

Conclusion
The design was made with a simple mind for the simple things in
life. As a result of the size constraints, sacrifices had to be made
to the size of the foundation. The result is consistent with the

standards of Habitat for humanity.
