I have to assume that you are the contact person for the permitting and gathering of
groups on the Supreme Court grounds.
We just want to give you a heads up that we will have a Rally on the sidewalk on the
North side of the Colorado Supreme Court on public right of way controlled by the
public works department of the City and County of Denver. I have met with them and no
permit is required on those grounds. They asked me to contact the Denver police
dispatch just to notify them that we were having the rally.
We noticed a new line in your guidelines that says no permit is now needed for the
sidewalk. We assume that means no permit is required because the sidewalk is not on
State grounds and you have no jurisdiction over it. Is this correct?
I would also like a contact if there becomes issues. On January 11th, I asked the State
Patrol stationed at the North Entrance if he could contact Mr. Steadman for me. He didn't
know who Mr. Steadman was/is. I thought he was/is head of the security at the State
Capitol and the Supreme Court. Is that not true?
