Galgorm Castle Golf Club Member

Having a handicap of 23 I participated in club junior competitions, joined the school golf
team and volunteered to help out at club events such as the Northern Ireland Open European
Challenge Tour.

Personal Statement

I am a highly independent, motivated and competitive individual. My initiative

drove me to start my own gardening business, Happy Lawns. Whilst promoting
my business door to door, I was offered a part time photography job when a
neighbour, who is a professional photographer, was impressed with my work ethics.
This involved helping at weddings and formals managing the photo booth and on
other occasions I was required to assist with the wedding videography.
Through my dedication, reliability and commitment to school I was honoured to be
elected Deputy Head Boy, a role which allowed me to take guidance from and work
closely with senior members of staff.
I volunteered as sports photographer for the school rugby teams and I was regularly
found on the touch line, snapping photos to promote the teams in school and the
local community. For the past 2 years I have served on the school council and S.U.
committee, participating in charitable events such as the Santa Run and Stand
by Me charities. Last year I received D.O.E. Silver award, the scheme helped me
mature and I learnt about problem solving and team spirit.
I also volunteered to travel to Romania with the school, working in orphanages and
hospitals, a great experience working in different environments enjoying the country,
culture and language.
Im extremely eager to work with yourselves and I am sure I will bring an enthusiastic and
positive attitude, keen to share my past skills and knowledge yet willing to learn more,
whilst working to the best of my abilities to ensure that success is achieved. With my
friendly and polite personality, Im sure team spirit will be enhanced whilst also providing
a high calibre of customer service.
