ECM Part Number Screen

1. Purpose
The ECM part number is read and displayed in the Monitor.
The purpose is to confirm the data set at the ECM.
2. How to access this screen
Refer to the Monitor Operation Procedure.
3. Screen
The ECM part number will be displayed in the monitor screen
as shown below: 898008 9543.

1. ECM Part Number Screen

4. Displaying Part Number Information
Part number information can be accessed once for each
instance when the ignition key is turned on.
5. When the screen displays: FFFFFF FFFF
The part numbers cannot be accessed by the CAN
communication, even if the CAN returns through 4.,
the FFFFFF FFFF code is displayed.
To remedy the error, turn the ignition key off, then on.

2. Engine Information Screen

1. Purpose
To copy engine information (Q resistor, QR code
and engine serial number). Current ECM data is
written to the new ECM when the ECM or Injectors
are replaced.
2. To access this screen
Refer to the Monitor Operation Procedure.
3. Engine starting restriction
Engine will not start with this screen displayed.

2. Engine Information Screen

4. Screen

4. Method for copying engine information

1. Purpose
To copy engine information (Q resistor, QR code
and engine serial number), by the method listed below
when replacing the ECM.
A. Arrange service ECM
ECM has not written any engine information.
Only Engine Information can be copied to service the ECM.
B. To connect and service the ECM, confirm the following:
1) Retain information for the current ECM Data in Controller A.
2) All information in the Service ECM must be DELETED
3) ECM must comply with the correct model (confirm ECM on Part Number Screen)
4) Conclude Model Selection
5) Error Code (EEPROM, ECM timeout and CAN communication error
and EEPROM error of Controller A are not displayed.

4. Method for copying engine information

C.

The Buzzer sounds when

is pressed for three seconds
on the engine information screen and starts to copy.
Pages 1-8 and the display mode (Controller A, ECM)
are acceptable.
The buzzer rings when pressed for 3 seconds.

It displays a code while copying the information.(See Next Slide)

Wait approximately 20 Seconds.
The Buzzer sounds when writing is completed and code 00 is displayed.
Incorrect termination is shown by error codes 01, 02, 03 or 04.

4. Method for copying engine information
