Biography
Ramdev was born as Ramdev Yadav to Ram Yadav and
Gulabo Devi at Mahendragarh Haryana.. He studied
Indian scripture, Yoga and Sanskrit in various gurukuls.
He became a Baba to Millionaire. sanyasi and adopted
the name Baba Ramdev. While living in Kalwa Gurukul
in Jind district, Haryana. He offered free yoga training to
villagers for some time. He then moved to Haridwar in
Uttarakhand and spent several years studying ancient
Indian scriptures at Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya.

Focus
Baba Ramdev is a Yoga Guru known for his work in Yoga
Ayurveda, business and agriculture. He is best known
for popularising yoga among Indians through his mass
yoga camps. He founded the Patanjali Group of
Institutions with his companion Balkrishna.

Integrity
Integrity is the act of keeping to your personal morals
or ethics. Today Baba Ramdev is known fortaking the ageold
Indian art of meditation and exercise to the average household
in India. However Baba Ramdev is no overnight success.

pronounced correctly as Yog, according to the Hindi

He founded the Divya Yog Mandir Trust in 1995. In
2003, Aastha TV began featuring him in its morning yoga slot.

many actors including Amitabh Bachchan and Shilpa
Shetty. He addressed Muslim clerics at their seminary
in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh and has taught yoga in countries

invited by Kofi Annan to deliver a lecture on poverty alleviation
in a United Nations conference. He became the first nonMuslim to publicly address Muslim priests at their seminary in
Deoband, Uttar Pradesh and has taught yoga in countries

Coming to his opinions, Hamne ye kaam vyapaar ke
liye nahin, upkaar ke liye kiya hai [We havent done this
for business but for welfare]. Its not a business, he
insists.

He studied Indian scripture, Yoga and Sanskrit in
