Adobe Analytics

Adobe Analytics uses different types of methods to collect data one is


javascript tag and app measurement method and the other is data sources that
are used to collect offline data.

Provides any number of query string for identifying marketing campaigns but
they must be configured and assigned in the JS tracking code.reports based on
the tracking code, out of the box reports for search/referring sites, and reports
set up via marketing channel rules assigned in the admin interface. Confusing
and highly unlikely any of these match.

Unlike a traffic variable where you must set it on every page, conversion
variables are persistent variables, and hold their value for longer than one
page. How long they hold their value is decided in the Conversion Variable
settings in the Admin Console. This way, you can measure them by the success
events, or in other words, by conversion. Conversion report are used to answer
questions about what affected success, so the value is held in the eVar for a
while to see if success happened.

The two main methods for creating dashboards with SiteCatalyst data are
within the interfaces drag-and-drop dashboard builder and with ReportBuilder
for Excel-based dashboards. While you have more customization options with
Excel-based dashboards, the SiteCatalyst interface dashboards can still play an
effective and vital role in disseminating data

The Data Warehouse tool allows you to easily export large volumes of data via
email or ftp. The exports can be scheduled via email or FTP to allow for easy
integration with other systems.the Analytics JavaScript Tagging code that is
embedded in each page of your web site passes a visitors online analytics data
to the Data Collection Layer. This data is stored in one or more report suites in
account.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics uses the Javascript method and the log file method to collect data and the
collected data is stored by Google. Both the JavaScript method and the log file method
provide valuable analytics data. Sampling here is 10M hits/month

Google Analytics extracts subset of data instead of completed data set which is further
spitted into reports which reduces the processing time.Provides 5 pre-set query strings that
are appended to the end of marketing campaigns. Here 500 k sessions are collected for a
report. In this 50k rows of data is available

Google Analytics Conversions reports offer a number of ways to view and analyze the way
people navigate your website on their way to converting. Conversions reports are broken
into four sections. many are customized to the data they represent. Each data set is based on
the reporting period you define in the date range drop-down menu. The standard attribution
modeling tool can give some formula-based models for attributing conversions to channels.

Google Analytics uses segmentation to bring life to data visualization. Funnel visualization
and goal flows are used for reporting. Visits Flow provides a graphical representation of
your traffic sources and the paths through your site that your visitors follow. Navigation
Flow provides a graphical representation of your defined start and/or end node and the
paths to or from that your visitors follow.
Goal Flow provides a graphical representation of the paths your visitors took to
successfully complete a conversion as well as where they dropped off.

Google Analytics doesnt provide any clickstream tables. By default all data is aggregated
and must be extracted via the API, which has some limits on what can be extracted. It is
possible to de-aggregate the data and recreate a clickstream by passing in timestamps and
other data into custom variables

Google Analytics Premium

In Google analytics free, 5 custom variables are available but for premium
version it is expanded to 50 slots improving the way of sampling data.
Sampling here is 1B+ hits/month.

Provides an attribution modeling tool that lets you quickly view and compare
the results of different attribution models, which is far and away better than
what either Adobe or IBM Digital provides. Google Analytic Premium
extracts data same as a standard Google analytics but it collects 25M sessions
per report. 3M rows of data is available in a report.

Three reports help you analyze conversion paths themselves. The Top
Conversion Paths report shows all of the unique conversion paths. Google
Analytics Premium includes a data driven attribution model, which actually
uses an algorithm on your data to understand where different channels make
the most impact.

Visualizations can be created that include sequences that include both pages
and events at the same time.Unlike the Funnel Visualization report, when you
setup custom funnels they are retroactive and utilize historical data.Unlike the
Goal Flow and other Behavior Flow reports, Custom Funnels are available at
a much higher sampling rate. Behavior Flow has sampling kick in at 100,000
sessions compared to Custom Funnels where Ive seen it kick in at 50,000,000
sessions.

Google Analytics Premium clients have the option to export clickstream (hitlevel) data into Google BigQuery through a native integration. Google
Analytics Premium can provide daily exports of clickstream data into Google
BigQuery and stores it using a nested JSON format

IBM Digital Analytics

In IBM Digital Analytics data collection an opt-out functionality is implemented directly in


the webpages. There are two types of data collection methods say IBM Managed or Client
Managed data collection.

Doesnt let you drill down to actual pages on referring sites that sent traffic without going to
Explore.Campaigns must be categorized in the interface into a marketing channel to show up
in the marketing report. Provides 4 pre-set query strings that are appended to the end of
marketing campaigns.

The WebSphere Commerce conversion event tag collects information about events that are
not directly related to product purchases.The conversion event tag does not generate any data
on its own. For this tag, you must use the tag parameters to pass in the data you want to
collect.The Events report displays data for all conversion events that are implemented on
your website. You can use conversion events to analyze non-commerce business objectives,
understand the relative value that they deliver to the business, and understand the marketing,
promotion, and content activity that influence their completion.

Explore the resulting reports as data tables and graphs. Toggle between
views of your data as bar, bubble, pie, and line graphs. You can
also choose the rows to graph and further narrow the results by
searching on strings so you can watch the visualization dynamically
update. Intelligent visualizations and flexible views to share insights with stakeholders

IBM Digital Analytics provides clickstream data feeds via SFTP, called the Digital Data
Feed. These tables dont contain site promotions or real estate click tracking data, though
this could possibly be produced via a custom feed.
