ABOUT ACCENTURE
OVERVIEW
Accentures Ethics & Compliance program is designed to (i) foster the highest ethical standards and a
commitment to compliance with the law and policy, (ii) prevent, detect, report and address any
allegation of misconduct, and (iii) comply with applicable laws and standards.
Accenture has adopted a framework designed to achieve these objectives, which includes (i) visible
support of our senior leadership, (ii) regular and periodic risk assessments, (iii) written standards and
controls, (iv) ongoing training and communications, and (v) auditing, monitoring, and response
procedures.
The program extends to cover not just Accentures employees, but also those who work on Accentures
behalf as contractors and other third parties, as well as Accenture Federal Services, which has adopted
standards that supplement Accentures standards.
Operating with integrity every day is the Accenture Way. Accentures commitment to doing business
ethically and legally is the foundation for the companys culture, which is shaped by our six core values
Client Value Creation, One Global Network, Respect for the Individual, Best People, Integrity and
Stewardship.
This commitment is further manifested in Accentures Ethics & Compliance program, which is
authorized by Accentures Board and managed by our General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.
CORE VALUES
Our core values shape the culture and define the character of our company; they serve as a foundation
in how we act and make decisions. Accenture people live the core values through individual behaviors.
Stewardship means building a better company for future generations, acting with an owner
mentality, developing our people and helping improve communities and the global environment.
Best People means attracting, developing and retaining the best talent for our business,
challenging our people, demonstrating a can-do attitude and fostering a collaborative
environment.
Client Value Creation means enabling clients to become high-performance businesses
and creating long-term relationships by being responsive and relevant and by consistently
delivering value.
One Global Network means leveraging the power of global insight, relationships,
collaboration and learning to deliver exceptional service to clients wherever they do business.
Respect for the Individual means valuing diversity and unique contributions, fostering a
trusting, open and inclusive environment and treating each person in a manner that reflects
Accentures values.
Integrity means being ethically unyielding and honest and inspiring trust by saying what we
mean, matching our behaviors to our words and taking responsibility for our actions.
1. What are the areas covered by the ethics program?
The program extends to cover not just Accentures employees, but also those who work on

which has adopted standards that supplement Accentures standards.

2. Do you think the company has clear policies on these areas, any loopholes or
recommendations?
The Accenture has aspiring policies on these areas that are reasons why they have been chosen as
the Worlds Most Ethical Company. Yet, these policies are not that clear for everybody because it
doesnt tell specific policy. Its too broad and vague for the whole employees to know what exactly
the company wants them to be.
3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the companys ethics program?
In a business setting, being ethical means applying principles of honesty and fairness to
relationships with coworkers and customers. Ethical individuals make an effort to treat everyone
with whom they come in contact as they would want to be treated themselves. Ethical business has
the advantage of durability over time. A business exercising ethical practices makes, to the best of
its ability, only true claims and pursues only a single ideological platform. This allows ethical
businesses to develop tight bonds with their target markets and to build reputations for honesty.
Maybe, the one of the weakness of its ethics program is that they may not have access to as many
strategies as unethical businesses. In a period of economic crisis they cannot adopt unethical
practices without damaging their reputation, and it can be harder for them to intentionally change
their image when the market demands such an action. They are overall more stagnant entities
which become bound to single viewpoints, products and platforms for better or for worse.
