PROJECT PROFILE
Project Definition:ONLINE CRIME REPORTING SYSTEM

Project Description:The Online Crime reporting system use to complain any kind of Crime on Online. This
projects main idea is to implement an automated software application for maintaining the proper
common people complaints of different police departments By using this system people who
are afraid or dont have enough time to go police station for complaint about their personal legal
issues . First user need to register them self and then user will be able to complain on his system
online . This System has facility to search and find criminals recorders by online and also
provide facility to generate FIR and other crime related documents in this system managed the
news and all criminal records.

Existing/Legacy System:Existing system does not have such medium by users can place their complain from any
location. They have to visit their nearest police location and take a copy of the complaint for
future reference. Many citizens to visit any police station and thus informer information cannot
be kept confidential. Sometimes conflicts occurs between police station regarding area, means
which area comes under their police station and the person get frustrated before placing their
complains. If any citizen is sufferer of crime, even after dialing emergency number, police person
do not able to locate the exact location of that citizen.

Proposed System:o Peoples place his/her complaints.

o User can see Near Police Station details.

Scope:A Crime Reporting System has facility to search and find criminals recorders by online
database and also provide facility to generate FIR and other crime related documents.

Outcomes:o Easy To Search Criminal and Reports.

o Peoples can easily generate complaints.
o Police Department do not need to store data in documents format.

Tools & Technology used with short justification:Front end: - HTML, CSS, JavaScript

1. HTML: HTML is used to create and save web document. E.g. Notepad/Notepad++
2. CSS : (Cascading Style Sheets) Create attractive Layout
3. JavaScript: it is a programming language, commonly use with web browsers.
Back end: PHP, MySQL
1. PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) is a technology that allows software developers to
createdynamically generated web pages, in HTML, XML, or other document types, as
per client request. PHP is open source software.
2. MySQL: MySQL is a database, widely used for accessing querying, updating, and
managing data in databases.
