Electrical Engineering Paper


Electric Circuits

Signals and Systems

Difficult Topics in GATE:


o Fourier Transform
o Laplace transform

Oppenheim and Willsky is the best book to understand signals and their behavior. Questions
from this subject are almost similar to mathematics.

Electromagnetic Fields

o Magnetic circuits
o Self and Mutual inductance of simple configurations

Not many questions are asked from this subject in GATE EE exam. However, preparing the
above topics from this subject would give an edge over others. Solve the previous GATE exam
questions.
Engineering Mathematics

Every topic from this subject is very important.

This subject is a scoring one.

One should not leave any topic from this subject as all the questions asked from this
subject are having the same level.

Engineering Mathematics by Grewal textbook covers all the topics. Solve all the
examples of the book along with previous GATE papers.

General Aptitude

Important topics covered in GATE:


o Sentence completion and word analogies
o Numerical computation and data interpretation

Note: Solve the entire previous GATE exam Papers. Practice them at least twice for
remembering the concepts.
