objectives stated in the district curriculum guide. Students must
complete the coursework in order to earn credit. (NRS392.122;
CCSD Regulation 5121).

Attendance Policy:
Make-Up Work:
Within one day after an absence, the student must contact the
teacher to determine the homework assigned during the absence
and the period of time allowed for turning in the homework. When
a student is absent, the educational experiences lost from class time
are irretrievable and the instruction and interaction cannot be
duplicated through make-up work, (CCSD Regulation 5113).
Make-up work represents only a portion of the daily grade; for
students with approved absences, the substance and grade value of
make-up work is subject to the teachers discretion. Students with
unapproved absences are entitled to make-up work information, but
will not receive any credit for participation work due to their
truancy.
Exception: Major assignments given to students with more
than a week notification of the due date are due on the
students return from an absence. Any major assignment
submitted after a due date may receive reduced credit.

Late Work:
Late work will be accepted for a grade for up to one school week
(or 5 school days) after the due date. All late work is marked down
30%. Work that is turned in later than 5 days will be accepted for
feedback only, but not a grade. If the student is marked with an
UNEXCUSED absent on the day of a due date, the assignment
will still be considered late unless it is changed to an EXCUSED
absence.
School-Wide Tardy
Policy:
Tardiness is unacceptable; all students will adhere to the schoolwide tardy policy. (Please refer to specific tardy policy regulations
in your staff handbook to be included in your course expectations).
