Laws:

The main laws that affect Coca Cola Company internationally and in Pakistan are:

1) Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (FLSA). Established to work 8 hours a day
and 40 hour a week. Established a national minimum wage and enforce a time and
a half pay for overtime.

2) The production and marketing of beverages are subject to the rules and
regulations of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other
federal, state and local health agencies.

3) CCBPL acts under the laws and regulations of PAKISTAN STANDARDS


AND QUALITY CONTROL AUTHORITY (PSQCA).

Ethics:

Kohlbergs Levels of moral development(stage 5):


Level-3 Post-Conventional stage:
With respect to the Kohlbergs levels of moral development cocacola lies at the
post-conventional level as it is a multinational company and it knows that different
groups of people have different conflicting views of morality and apart from a
democratic consensus all moral views should be tolerated.

Gilligans Theory of Female moral development:


Amara Bashir is the female Director of HR at CCBPL. CCBPL has made women
empowerment a part of their core value, employing their Coca-Cola Vision 2020 to
diversify workforce and create an environment for women to develop. It has hit the
ball right out of the park by becoming the first company in Pakistan to hire and
train women in jobs that are thought to be male-oriented. There are women
distributors, truck drivers, fork-lifters, security officers, HSE specialist, safety
vehicle driver, machine operator, warehouse operator, microbiologist, pre-selling
officer and sales managers.

William Damons Theory:


William Damon found that morality doesnt becomes a dominant characteristic of
the self until adolescence. If we compare this with Coca-Cola well find that
Cocacola has already passed the middle adolescence stage. So, we can say that
morality is a dominant characteristic of The cocacola company and CCBPL as
CCBPL lies in the late adolescence stage.
Right to Life:
CCBPL provides right to life to its employers by providing them safe and healthy
working environment to work in.And also healthy competitive salary pakages and
mediacl and other financial incentives.

Right to self defense:


CCBPL provides the right to self defense to its employees in conditions like when
they are facing the committee.
Right to free speech:
CCBPL provides the right to free speech and collective bargaining to its
employees.Its means that employees are free to join and form labour unions and
select their union leader who talks on the behalf of all the union members with the
management.
Contractual Rights:
CCBPL also hires contract base temporary employees under certain condition
depending on the nature of the job.These employees can be made permanent as per
the company policy.
CCBPL also does one year contracts with suppliers in Turkey.
Legal rights:
Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCBPL) is the holder of all
manufacturing and selling rights of Coca-Cola products in Pakistan..
Moral rights:
CCBPL doesnt directly market towards children under the age of 12.
CCBPL prohibits child labour in any of its plants.
Stakeholders Approach:
CCBPL uses stakeholders approach as it is always trying to work best in both
internal ,external stakeholders interests.
