3.00m. If a bus is 5.00 m from this mirror, find the position, nature and size of the
image.
2. An object, 4.0 cm in size, is placed at 25.0 cm in front of a concave mirror of
focal length 15.0 cm. At what distance from the mirror should a screen be placed
in order to obtain a sharp image? Find the nature and the size of the image.
3. Find the focal length of a convex mirror whose radius of curvature is 32 cm.
4. A concave mirror produces three times magnified (enlarged) real image of an
object placed at 10 cm in front of it. Where is the image located?
5. A concave lens has focal length of 15 cm. At what distance should the object from

15. A doctor has prescribed a corrective lens of power + 1.5 D. Find the focal length

HUMAN EYE
1. A person needs a lens of power 5.5 dioptres for correcting his distance vision.
For correcting his near vision he needs a lens of power +1.5 dioptre. What is
the focal of the lens required for correcting (i) distance vision, and (ii) near
vision?
2. The far point of a person is 80 cm in front of the eye. What is the nature and
power of the lens required to correct the problem?

3. The near point of a hypermetropic eye is 1 m. What is the power of the lens
required to correct this defect? Assume that the near point of the normal eye is
