Flat roof structure ineffective against heavy rainfall of goa.

Location : Panaji, Goa Architect : Kothari Associates, New Delhi. Construction type: modern architecture, trabeated structural system. Use of contemporary building materials like RCC,, brick and cement with plastered elevation. Efficient use of spaces. The foundation was also not efficient for the climate thus leading to settling of foundation which is why the museum building is supposed to be closed soon. The architecture is more modern and does not embodies the soul of goa. Very small conservation laboratory for such a big museum. Library was cabin sized. One part of the building was completely unusable that led to shutting down of various departments. No provision for differently abled person.

Due to ineffectiveness of architecture the floors were crumbling and dampness was a major problem in the building.

The fire exit was very narrow and leading to the downstairs lobby instead of an open space.
