Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does the club benefit me as a medical student if I am

SSP is the osteopathic equivalent of AOA (MD). It is a service based
osteopathic honor society. Membership not only opens up service
opportunities, but shows residencies you are dedicated to serving and also a
well-rounded applicant. Membership reflects a scholarly achievement, a
demonstrated commitment to professionalism and leadership, and a
dedication to community service. Induction to membership is limited to onefourth of graduating medical school students who have excelled
academically, demonstrated professionalism, and show promise of becoming
leaders in medicine.
When you first open ERAS to apply for residency there are 3 boxes you can
