Single Cell Stab & Continuous CP Monitoring System.
(STABCON)
The STABCON system has been
developed by ISIS to provide our Clients
with a simple, robust, cost effective, and
operator friendly contact & continuous CP
monitoring package.
STABCON is ideal for use during offshore
structural surveys where it is impracticable
to make a hard wire connection when
requiring continuous CP profile surveys.
The system utilises the towed remote CTC
(Cell to Cell) technique which allows a
continuous potential profile to be obtained
without the need for a connection to the
structure being surveyed.

The single Ag/AgCl contact probe is designed to be used on an ROV and is a robust and reliable unit with a sharp stainless
steel stabbing contact tip.
When used in conjunction with an Ag/AgCl remote half cell, and the STABCON software package, continuous potential
profiles can also be displayed & recorded.

The Ag/AgCl half cell is housed within the probe body with ports around the probe open to the surrounding seawater
The stainless steel tip allows contact CP stabs to be taken. The probe comes with a standard 1.5 metre whip, for
connection to an ROV. Various different ROV connectors can also be provided upon request.

The STABCON CP system software can be easily installed on a 3rd party Windows compatible PC utilising
either two x USB connectors or 1 x USB & 1 x RS232 ports for data display and output to a compatible Video
overlay unit. The pop-up menu continuously runs in the system tray until required.

Simple analogue connection inputs from the

probe & remote via the ROV umbilical are
made via the topside unit with output to the PC
via a RS232 connector.

Communication protocols to the overlay can be

set to a variety of configurations using a simple
drop down menu.

Pop-up menu allows user to take contact

measurements and view contact &
continuous CP data

Contact Stab menu allows the user to freeze

the reading, without loss while trying to obtain
a better contact
