DIPOLOG CITY, Nov. 2 (PIA) The Comprehensive Reform and Development Agenda (CRDA) for ARMM and Armed-Conflict Areas in Regions 9, 10 and 12 was conducted simultaneously on October 29, 2016 in the cities of Dipolog and Dapitan. The said activity is in partnership with the different national government agencies (NGAs) such as, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Agriculture (DA), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and Philippine Information Agency (PIA). This event involves the award and presentation of developmental projects by the government on food, health, education and employment, Dipolog Vice Mayor Horacio B. Velasco stressed during his opening message. He urged all the beneficiaries to take care and be responsible with the facilities, equipment, tools and other assistance from the government they received. Meanwhile, the different NGAs presented to the crowd their respective thrusts, best practices, projects and programs. DA has awarded mudboats, combine harvester, four-wheeled tractors, corn seeds, cacao and rubber expansion projects to different farmers association in Zamboanga del Norte. Local fishermen were given fiber glass boat known as bangkang pinoy and complete sets for fishing by BFAR. DOLE gave starter kits to micro and small enterprises as part of their livelihood program and Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) beneficiaries were also given with checks. Several students received scholarship grant commitments from TESDA and CHED. DOH and PhilHeath were partners in awarding TSeKaP kits, hygiene tool kits and member data records to its beneficiaries.
The DSWD has conducted supplemental mass feeding to children.
Moreover, the municipalities of Manukan, Polanco, Leon B. Postigo, Jose Dalman and Siayan in Zamboanga del Norte received checks from DILG for their potable water system projects amounting from 3.5 million to 10.4 million. (ALT/MAA/PIA9-Zamboanga del Norte)
