CUBS WIN!

Hey America, have you heard that the Cubs

won the world series in this 2016 year? It has
been 108 years since they won a game and
over 70 years since they won in the world
series. In the last game they won the
cleveland Indians by one point . The score
was 8-7 by the end. It was a close call for the
cubs. There was a woman,15, when she saw
the cubs win the world series so today she is
108 and is glad to have lived long enough to
see the CUBS win. In the first game the cubs
lost from 6-0 in the second game, they won 5
- 1, the cubs beat the cleveland by 4 runs. In
the third game, they lost by 1-0 . In the fourth
game, the cubs lost from 7-2, the cubs lost by
5 runs. In the fifth game the cubs won 3-2, in
the sixth game the cubs won from 9-3 and the
rest of the games the cubs won. That is when
the glory of the 2016 cubs would win since
1908 and 1907. Then after the game, the fans
wrote on the wall of wrigley field. Everyone is
so happy. A mother and her children came all
the way from Indiana to write on the wall.

Some people took a 5 hour trip to see the

cubs win. People from all over chicago were
at the bars or at friends houses or even at
home and sounding like they were having a
party.The people who went to the bars to
watch the cubs game spent over $1,000 to
watch the game.

Presidential Election Results Are

The election started and Trump was leading 48% of the country
because he was leading the majority of the eastern side. Later on Hillary
took over Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island,
Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington DC.
This was very early on in the election, the election polls were switching
between Clinton and Trump because the votes were being counted so it
was Trump leading one minute then Clinton passed him and so on.
Then the votes from the midwest started being counted and there was
about only one state that majority of the vote went for Hillary. The rest of
the votes counted from the midwest went to Donald Trump. After the
midwest votes were counted they continued on to count the south.
Trump took many of the southern states as was expected. The last part
of the united states that had to be counted was the west. In the west
Hillary won majority while Donald won about 1 state. This race was very
close because both candidates ended at about a 48 percentage but
Donald Trump stood leading and won the presidential election.

Donald Trump isn't getting much

support from his Republican party,
especially after the release of a video
where Trump said mean comments
towards women. Sen. Rob Portman
is one of the people that has officially
abandoned Trump. As I said
yesterday, Donald Trump's
comments were offensive and wrong.
I had hoped to support the candidate
my party nominated in the primary
process. I thought it was appropriate
to respect the millions of voters
across the country who chose
Donald Trump as the Republican
Party nominee. While I continue to
respect those who still support
Donald Trump, I can no longer
support him. I continue to believe our
country cannot afford a Hillary
Clinton presidency. I will be voting for
Mike Pence for President. Not only
Portman has abandoned Donald
Trump others from the Republican
party have too, Sen. John McCain is
one of them. "Donald Trumps
behavior this week, concluding with
the disclosure of his demeaning
comments about women... make it
impossible to continue to offer even
conditional support for his
candidacy."

get right into the news! Right now
this is the day that Donald Trump
won and he is now the president of
the united states. Everyone is super
mad because they hate Donald
Trump. People are saying they are
going to paris and russia and canada.

stay in America and I'm hoping that
Trump does a good job. I can't
believe that hillary didn't win because
she is the one that works her way to
win between the two and I guess she
was too confident and she didn't rig

Election Responses
On November 8th, 2016, Donald Trump
won the election. It was 279 to 228 on that day.
Although Hillary got more votes in general,
Donald got more electoral votes. Trump won
more states than Hillary. The President who
gets the most points and wins the most states
becomes President. Mr. Trump claims that with
the people's help and guidance he will make
america awesome. Hillary tried her best to get
this spot in the White House. She could have
been the first Woman president. Trump is still
going through with his Big Wall Plan. In my
opinion, I think that Hillary should have won. It
would have been nice for the first women
President.

On November 8th of 2016, Donald Trump won
the presidential election against Hillary Clinton.
He won the presidential election 306-222, now
that Trump won the election, Obama won't be
president. Trump will officially become president
on January 16th. Even though Hillary Clinton
had more total votes, Trump had more electoral
votes and that's why Trump won.

The election and donald trump's win. So

on November 9th 2016, the voters cast
their vote and made donald trump win
the close race with hillary clinton. One
reason that donald trump could have
won was because he had the same
opinion as many americans about
immigration. So because of that issue,
hillary couldn't really compete. It was
also because of donald trump's win over
florida that he gained more of the
electoral votes and quickly surpassed
hillary with the votes. Another thing might
have been that hillary clinton was said to
be using a private email that she wasn't
supposed to use and the FBI looked into
it, giving her a bad rep that may have
changed the minds of some voters so
they changed to donald trump's side and
help him win. Another reason could have
been that he had a lot of money to help
his campaign which to him is just a few
bucks of change. Soon he had more than
enough money to fund his campaigns.
So even so if Hillary had the most in
votes, at first donald won florida and a
few others making him ahead and

making him president. My sources were

this because if he goes through with
what he says about immigration, he
would not be following the constitution of
the United States of America. To be
honest, I wouldnt go with any of them. In

in-your-face colors. It just looks ugly.
Though I do believe we should be allowed
to wear any kind of pants we choose. It
lets the students be free with who they are
and promotes individuality.

Global Warming

Global warming is starting to become a big problem to many people. But to most
people like Donald Trump who just think that it is a rumor started by china to get us
to stop thing about the important issues. The only thing that has stopped many
people in their tracks from believing that is the fact that there is evidence leading to

the best high schools for you? Have you ever
believed that your test scores are just not that
high enough to get into the high school you
would like to go to? Well this is the right article
for you. We will be discussing Selective
Enrollment, Private, and community high schools
in this article. First, If you have high percentiles
and high NWEA scores, then this is the right high
school for you. These are always the top high
schools of the state. In Chicago, Northside
College Preparatory is the 1st best high school in
Chicago. If youre into a big environment with
multiple different areas this is the high school for
you. If youre into a more smaller high school
that is still filled with intelligent and hard working
students, then Walter Payton is a good fit for
you. This is the 2nd best high school in Chicago.
This high school is filled with diverse and multiracial students. If youre looking into a high
school and is near you, then a community high
school is a beneficial option for you. These high
schools are small and comforting and probably
have a good amount of clubs to join like Art club,
Robotics, World language, etc. Your last option
is if youre still looking into a good high school
and want a high school with students who still
care about getting their work done and care
about school as much as you do, private schools
are the best options for you. It is more of an
expensive option, but it is a better option when
you are a student who cares, but you may not
get into a selective enrollment high school.
Overall, Selective Enrollment, Private, and
Community high schools are all the best options.
It all depends on the high school you get into
that leads you into a good career and life.

Bucktown Classrooms

Janet Reno
Janet Reno was sworn in before the
Senate Judiciary Committee in March
1993, becoming the first woman to hold
the position of United States attorney
general. She died at Age 78. She was
never part of The Clinton Circle. She is the
most popular United States Attorney
General. Mr. Clinton is her ally.

Im here at CICS Bucktown going through the classrooms and here I see tables and
desks. Each class has a polyvision board and whiteboard, some floors are tiled and
some are carpet. In the classrooms there are teachers with cows(computers on
wheels). You may see students working or not paying attention. All classes for
subjects and not electives are an hour and fifty minutes when last year they were an
hour and thirty minutes. Some have schedules on boards or just class learning
objectives. Majority of the classrooms have coatrooms or some have racks or hooks
on the wall with crates to put supplies in. The 3 main classes are Science,Reading/
Social Studies, and Math. Students are not allowed to have food in the classroom or
gum. There are also classrooms for enrichment such as
Spanish,Music,Art,Media,Nutrition, and ect

My favorite class to go to is Math because the room is big and funny things happen
there and the teacher isnt as strict as others. I feel like there is a lot of space in the
classes and it could be used for decorations, the desks are more close to eachother
than last year. My favorite enrichment class is news studio because we have a lot of
worktime and I get all my work done quick.

Texting and Driving

People spend so much time on their phone that they can possibly be addicted to their phone. Texting while driving is a situation that must
be stopped. While driving, people usually text or go on social media. This can cause a horrible accident. People have created apps or little
gadgets to put in their car to stop them going on their phone while driving. If I was old enough to drive I would not go on my phone and
drive at the same time; it's dangerous. I have to say that most accidents happen because of people that do this. I think that people should
put their phone on silent or turn it off so they won't get distracted. Back in the days people usually get distracted because of different
things but never because of a cell phone. People need to stop doing things like this because it can cause injuries mentally and physically.
It can also affect the passenger that is riding in the car because it can make them think it is okay to text and drive.

school year continues, we are alerted to
stay on task and do our work. But actually
behind us are things in the world you
wouldn't expect. We have cyber attacks
all over the US. Stay careful of who you
talk to on the internet. People are hacking
others accounts accepting special
personal information. Stay aware and
never show personal info to people you
don't know. Just stay aware and you will
be safe; after all it's gonna be ok.
Movie review: "Shrek" by Jacob Sager
My Review is of Shrek which got a 88% on Rotten
Tomatoes. But in my opinion, I liked the movie
because it was funny and fun and colorful. I rate
Shrek a good movie for it comedy and animation.
Movie review: "Madoka Magica" by Emma Cotrell
My review is about the madoka magica movie series.
It's a really great magical girl anime with a great story
and great characters. There's so much development
and the way they do it is amazing. The characters
feel like they are real people. It made me cry more
than a dozen times.

snapchat, take our attention and focus it

young generation is learning not to care
