Position holder is located on the rig with 24hrs duty on a 4 x 4 rotation schedule.

Report on daily basis to HSE Advisor , all activities carried out and planned for the
next day, anomalies, near misses, incidents, accidents and any unsafe condition or
observed behavior that could be affecting the HSE performance.
Field HSE Supervisor responsibility, the Drilling HSE Supervisor ensures
that all the prescribed HSE procedures and equipment are fully adopted,
both by company staff and contractors.
Support to Drilling Department in liaison with the HSE Advisor, for all
issues related to HSE at the drilling well place.
Review and coordinate with section heads the planned activities to guarantee full
compliance with all HSE minimum requirements during the jobs execution.
Review the safety performance by inspection and by acquiring data in order to
provide means to improve overall HSE standards.
Ensure strict compliance with the HSE requirements.
Emphasizing on PTW, JSA, tool box meetings, PPE wearing, order and
housekeeping, waste management (in coordination with the Company man
and the Rig Contractor HSE Supervisor).
Ensure the rig contractor supply adequate HSE training to personnel at
operating on site.
Interact and transfer knowledge to local manpower (Rig and contractors staff).
Assure that all safety incidents and accidents are properly reported and investigated
and lessons learned are shared and issue the respective documentation as
established in procedures
Ensure emergency preparedness.
Participate on the preparation and perform the HSE meetings and proceed as
instructed (daily, weekly and monthly frequency), attend all site planning, progress
and other appropriate site meetings, particularly those where subcontractors are
involved.
Witness critical operations, such as heavy lifts, casing running operations,
rig down, rig up and rig movement operations etc.
Carry out safety inspections and control on safety equipment
functionality.
Participate to and audit PTW's (Permit to Work).
Propose and supervise on site HSE compliance campaigns, HSE training
(Handling and Lifting, pinch points
Promote HSE on site, motivate personnel to safe behavior and organize information
campaigns.
Perform hygiene inspections at the camp and rig site.
Inspection of lifting gear (slings, cranes, shackles and bolts, safety pins
etc.
Verify safe use and storage of dangerous goods.
Periodically check on the state of fire fighting equipment and all safety signs and
posters.
Ensure strict compliance with the EIA and waste management procedures.
Perform environmental inspections and waste disposal and segregation
procedures.
Stop cards tracking,ensure adequate corrective actions are undertaken for
most significant stop cards.
Witness safety drills and check for compliance with the contingency plan.
In charge of Induction process for new personnel incomers.

In an emergency situation be a member of rig investigation team, write incident

reports, and maintain files, register and follow-up close out of corrective actions.
Skills and Experience
Engineer or technical diploma preferable on Oil anf Gas industry disciplines.
A moderate amount of Oil and Gas Industry experience in (Drilling, Work over, well
services.
A moderate amount of experience both in a technical safety role and in a safety
management role.
Accreditation in HSE codes and standards.
Technical qualification relevant to oil and gas industry.
Recognized safety qualification and professional affiliation.
Proven experience in theoretical and practical safety aspects outside Algeria.
Previous experience in onshore drilling operations.
HSE basic courses (Firefighting, first aid, Journey Management, defensive diving,
incident/accident investigation, confined space, work on height, etc.).
Nebosh General Certificate (Optional).
Well control (Optional).
English and French.
Intermediate knowledge of the local language preferred (Arabic).
Be familiar with QHSE Management Systems (Development & Implementation).
