First day activity: get to know you exit pass


(at the conclusion of the first period, I will
utilize an exit pass that will ask the students
to tell me 2 things they think I should know
and 1 thing they would like to know about
me. I then will follow up with a get to know
me session the next day)
Make a point to speak to each student at
least once per day.
Cater some instruction to the students
interests (as observed or recorded from exit
pass)
Be open to students suggestions about my
teaching (show them I want to learn from
them)
