Hamlet Expressed the Theme
In the process of Hamlet's revenge, his mind is very complicated. From his father's soul
told of the true nature of the death, Hamlet decided to revenge, he did not let Claudius died at
once. First he arrange performance and to determine the uncle's crimes; when confirmed the
father died, he still hesitated. in the end, the whole story is full of death, cowardice and decay.
Death, the main character of the story all death, in manslaughter, drowned. This is a very
sad of revenge. Frist, Hamlet manslaughter Polonius, Claudius let he eavesdrop Hamlet talk with
Gertrude, Hamlet thought it was Claudius, and killed Polonius, Come, come anddead
(III.iv.24-29.)When Ophelia knows Hamlet killed her father, she become crazy, she cannot take
her father's death, she body wearing a flower, and then fall from the tree on the side of the river,
and was drowned, one woe dothdrowned, Laertes (IV.vii.187-188) Her death let her
suddenly lost two of the most important thing in life, is love, is the family.
Cowardice, in the level of the royal family and a variety of different things happen, in the
chaos of the situation, some people will leak out of the weak face. Hamlets weak performance

Ophelia are you chaste? Hamlet's words hurt Ophelia, Hamlet is really just want to irony he
mother married bobo, however miserable Hamlet could not control his negative attitude and grey
reality, forgotten in the base of positive about. So Hamlet only want to use this sting Ophelia.
Hamlet want vent dissatisfaction with life, unbalanced state of mind, makes his cowardice. Also,
Polonius was a cowardly person, when the old king was alive, he didn't stop his daughter and

Hamlet exchanges, but the old king's died, he changed his mind, he clearly observed Hamlet is
likely to lose rights, and will be kill Claudius, lost trust in him. So he provoke her daughter and
the relationship between Hamlet and Ophelia to his love doubt, then to achieve their own
purposes It shall do willshall think (III.ii.190-200.)Polonius thought it was right, but in
fact Claudius use him, so Polonius was cowardly.
Decay in Hamlet someone cannot decide choose and thinking about the problem by
themselves, so it is full of the decay. Laertes is a self-esteem is very strong but narrow-minded,
and very carefully. He change his kindness because of Claudius misleading so Laertes become
decay. Claudius told he should revenge for his fathers death, and let he kill Hamlet what out of
thischurch. (IV.vii.120-144.)Before Hamlet than the sword with poison, so he feel
uncomfortable, a few times before all lost to the Hamlet, Hamlet always win come on
sir..well, again.(V.ii2999-305.)Laertes is not a person with independent thinking, so Claudius
use him. He was too decay, so Hamlet kill him, until he will be died, Hamlet tell him the truth,
but everything was late.
Hamlets anger, his life struggle, reflects the feudal decadent and dark, Hamlet's ending
regrets to decay, Ophelia become sad, negative and death. Claudius is unscrupulous, and
Polonius was decay. This is also the cause of tragedy.
