Creating a new CID
When creating a new CID:
Classification (appliance size) has

Configuring HPE Serviceguard in Smart CID
1. Create a regular CID for the primary system (primary CID).
2. Note the CID number (copy+paste)
3. Create a CID for the secondary system.
4. In HANA DB of the secondary CID, select Serviceguard.
5. Enter the CID number of the primary CID in the Related CID Number field.
6. Select the instance name from the primary CID.
7. Enter other details (including virtual IP addresses).
8. Save HANA DB.

Primary CID

Create a regular CID and note the


CID number.
Open HANA DB.
Add an instance.
Select HANA Instance or Dual
Purpose instance.
Enter Instance details like System
ID, Instance Number and Memory,
etc.
Save HANA DB.
This is a pre-requisite for
Serviceguard CIDs.

Secondary CID

Create a CID for the secondary


system.
Open HANA DB.
Add an instance.
Select HANA Instance or Dual
Purpose instance.
Select Yes for Serviceguard
(Is this instance secondary
for Serviceguard clustering?)
Enter instance details.
Scroll down to SG-eSAP section.

Linking primary and secondary CIDs

Enter the primary CID number in


the Related CID Number field.
Smart CID fetches details from the
primary CID to the secondary CID.
Select the system ID.
Enter Cluster Name, memory
distribution, and other details.
Enter Virtual IP addresses.
Click OK to save HANA DB
information.
The primary and secondary CIDs
are now linked.
Enter details in all other sections
and submit the CID.
