Tips & advice
START KNITTING
Before you start knitting, we recommend you to practice the different
techniques and stitches with its tutorial videos, especially if its the first time you knit. You can find the videos in
our website weareknitters.com
If you dont get it at your first try, dont worry, its very common. Watch the video with your needles and yarn in
your hands as many times as you may need.

Cotton care instructions

Because WE ARE KNITTERS wool is 100% wool, we recommend you to wash your garment using cold water and mild

Stitch sample
It is important to do a sample before start knitting your project. The sample should measure 10cm x 10cm and needs to
be done in Stockinette Stitch. If it comes out to be smaller, you will need to knit more loose, and if it comes out bigger,
you will need to tight more the stitches.
Stitch sample: 13 Stitches = 10cm | 17 Rows = 10cm

The project is knitted in one piece, knit-
ting the rows along the length of the whole
beanie.
START KNITTING
1. Cast on 62 stitches onto one of your
wooden needles.
2. Knit rows 1 to 6 in Rib Stitch 1x1: Always
knit one stitch and purl one in an alternating
fashion until you have completed the row.
3. Knit rows 7 to 42 as follows:
Row 7: knit one stitch. *Transfer the follow-
ing stitch onto a help needle in front of the
project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Knit 8 stitches. Transfer the next stitch
onto a help needle behind the project. Knit
the next stitch. Take up the stitch you left
without knitting and knit it*. Repeat from * to
* until you have completed the row and knit
the last stitch.
Even rows: purl all stitches.
Row 9: knit 2 stitches. *Transfer the follow-
ing stitch onto a help needle in front of the
project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Knit 6 stitches. Transfer the next stitch
onto a help needle behind the project. Knit
the next stitch. Take up the stitch you left
without knitting and knit it. Knit 2 stitches*.
Repeat from * to * until you have completed
the row.
Row 11: knit 3 stitches. *Transfer the fol-
lowing stitch onto a help needle in front of
the project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Knit 4 stitches. Transfer the next stitch
onto a help needle behind the project. Knit
the next stitch. Take up the stitch you left
without knitting and knit it. Knit 1 stitch*. Re-
peat from * to * until there are only 2 stitches
left and knit them.
Row 13: *knit 4 stitches. Transfer the fol-
lowing stitch onto a help needle in front of
the project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Knit 2 stitches. Transfer the next stitch
onto a help needle behind the project. Knit
the next stitch. Take up the stitch you left
without knitting and knit it. Knit 2 stitches*.
Repeat from * to * until there are only 2
stitches left and knit them.
Row 15: *knit 5 stitches. Transfer the fol-
lowing stitch onto a help needle in front of
the project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Transfer the next stitch onto a help nee-
dle behind the project. Knit the next stitch.
Take up the stitch you left without knitting
and knit it. Knit 3 stitches*. Repeat from *
to * until there are only 2 stitches left and
knit them.
Row 17: *knit 6 stitches. Transfer the fol-
lowing stitch onto a help needle behind of
the project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Knit 4 stitches*. Repeat from * to * until
there are only 2 stitches left and knit them.
Row 19: *knit 5 stitches. Transfer the fol-
lowing stitch onto a help needle behind of
the project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Transfer the following stitch onto a help
needle in front of the project. Knit the next
stitch. Take up the stitch that you left with-
out knitting and knit it. Knit 3 stitches*. Re-
peat from * to * until there are only 2 stitches
left and knit them.
Row 21: *knit 4 stitches. Transfer the fol-
lowing stitch onto a help needle behind of
the project. Knit the next stitch. Take up the
stitch that you left without knitting and knit
it. Knit 2 stitches. Transfer the following

ject. Knit the next stitch. Take up the stitch

ject. Knit the next stitch. Take up the stitch

8 stitches. Transfer the following stitch onto
a help needle in front of the project. Knit the
next stitch. Take up the stitch that you left
without knitting and knit it*. Repeat from *
to * until there are only 2 stitches left and
knit them.
Row 29: Transfer the first stitch onto a help
needle behind of the project. Knit the next
stitch. Take up the stitch that you left with-
out knitting and knit it. *Knit 10 stitches.
Transfer the following stitch onto a help
needle in behind the project. Knit the next
stitch. Take up the stitch that you left with-
out knitting and knit it.* Repeat from * to *
until you have completed the row.
Repeat rows 7 to 30 until you get to row 42.
HOW TO
END YOUR
PROJECT
1. Cut a thread long enough to sew the
sides of your beanie. Thread the little sew-
ing needle and place it through all the stitch-
es. Once you have finished, pull the thread
and close this side of the beanie.
2. In order to finish, you need to sew the lat-
eral part of your beanie. Tie a knot at the
end and hide the remaining thread among
the already knitted stitches.
