Abstract

The patient is a 32-year-old woman and has smoked 1 pack-per-day for the last 15 years. She has

a family history and inherited genes of breast cancer from paternal side and stomach cancer from

maternal side. Create a summary to view the risk factors for breast cancer, such as the

environment and smoking habits

CREATION OF CANCER

Cancer is created when a gene has a default in it. The cell develops 6 or more gene alterations.

Cancer is also caused by carcinogens (such as cigarette smoke or chemicals) and developed

mutations. Defective genetic factors that increase the risk of cancer are passed on from mother to

child.

ENVIRONMENT

Years of research and evidence shows that there is a connection between environmental factors

and breast cancer. In the United States, we have approximately 80,000 man-made chemicals

available. These chemicals can range from additives in our lipstick to insecticides on fruits and

vegetables. There isnt any type of policy in place to limit chemicals in the atmosphere.

Companies produce chemicals without having any safety requirements for people. Since the use

of chemicals has risen in the world, so have the rates of breast and other forms of cancer.

SMOKING HABITS

The significant data about smoking and cancer risk tells us that the two are closely

related. Tobacco is the single biggest cause of cancer in people. Most all types of cancer are

caused by smoking. Even sporadic smoking still damages your health. Tobacco smoke contains

many dangerous chemicals. Nicotine is one of these chemicals which is highly addictive and

damages the body. Using preventatives to stop smoking is the most effective way to quit.

OTHER RISK FACTORS FOR BREAST CANCER

Most women who have risk factors for breast cancer never get breast cancer. Also, most

women with breast cancer have no exposure to danger. Some circumstances, like a person's age

or race, can't be altered. Other aspects are linked to things in the environment or to personal

behaviors, such as smoking, drinking, and diet. The main risk factors for breast cancer are things

you cannot change: being a woman, aging, and certain gene alterations. It can be caused by

conditions such as non-proliferative lesions, chest radiation, drinking alcohol, and working late.

Finally, using birth control, becoming a parent, personal diet, bras, and breast implants are other

factors.
