Lesson 5: Language focus

A. OBJECTIVES
I. AIMS
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- distinguish two vowel sounds /e/ and // and know how to pronounce as well as recognize the
two sounds in words and sentences.
- know how to use The Past Perfect, and differ The Past Perfect from The Past Simple in
situations.
- have a chance to train their skills of doing exercises of verb-using and mistake-finding through
three Exercises 1, 2 & 3.
II. TEACHING AIDS
- Projector, textbook, group boards.
- Method: Students-centered, integrated, mainly communicative.
- Strategies: make Exercises easier, more popular and obvious.
