be thought of as a bundle of ten tens called a hundred. b. The numbers 100,

Description of how to implement in the class:
To introduce the study of numbers, I will review with the class over our Base 10-
blocks by allowing the students to hold the objects. This will engage my students by
letting them engage with the content we will be practicing today. I will start the
lesson asking students if they know how many base-10 blocks are in a base-100
block. After a short discussion, I will challenge the students to see if our predictions
were correct. The students will then be given a bag of their very own base-10 blocks.

Next, the students will watch an e-book named Numbers, Numbers

Everywhere made by their teacher Kaitlyn Greene. Students will share with their
partner if they used their objects in front of them while reading the book. Then they
will discuss the numbers aloud as a whole class. The teacher will then put the
students into small groups. In the small groups they are to create their very own e-
book on the representation of number values. All PowerPoints will be converted to a
movie format and uploaded to the classroom blog

Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi):

LoTi 4 best describes this learning experience. The students are put into small
groups. They have to make an e-book for value of numbers, but they have a choice of
what numbers to use.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *:
Viewers will see this book as a movie. It will be used in class as an example of
what type of e-book the students can create for their activity.
