SEWING REQUIREMENTS:
o Fabric and supplies must be here on the due dates specified for each project. If there is a problem,
please see me in advance (NOT the day before supplies are due!).
o Each student must complete projects according to the requirements in each unit. In addition, samples
may be required for new concepts.
o Absolutely NO sewing goes home. If a project is removed from class without permission, those
steps completed outside of class will be given a grade of zero.
o If a project is not completed and turned in on the due date, you will have one week to finish it. Project
must be worked on during lunch or after school (Tues/Thurs until 3:10 with teacher discretion). Points will
be deducted for each day it is late. After the one week time period, late projects will be graded as-is.
o Because of the number of students in the class all needing individual help, there will be times when
you will have to wait your turn for instruction or approval to continue. Study your pattern guides carefully,
listen attentively to class directions and demonstrations, ask 3 before me and you will likely be able to
solve sewing issues yourself. You may work on the handwork projects until the instructor can get you.
Never, however, go beyond a designated checkpoint without approval from your teacher.
