5 Pipes And Fittings

6 Paints
a. Delivered materials with manufacturers labels intact.

b. Delivered materials in manufacturers original, unopened packages and containers

bearing the manufacturers name and label and the following information:
i. Product name or title of material. ii. Product description (generic classification or binder
type). iii. Manufacturers stock number and date of manufacture. iv. Contents by volume,
for pigment and vehicle constituents. v. Thinning instructions. vi. Application instructions.
vii. Colour name and number viii. VOC content

c. Materials is stored in clean, dry, well-ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, flame,
and direct rays of sunshine; maintain storage areas free from fire hazard.

7 Valves
a. Valves are stored protected from light, heat, dust, dirt, and humidity.
b. Valves are identified & seperated as per their type, size, schedule, sizes.

FABRICATION CHECKS
1 Pipes are cut into the desired length as per the latest approved drawing
2 Visually inspected the pipe for any damages

The surfaces to be welded shall be smooth, uniform, and free from laminations, tears,
3 scale, slag, grease, paint, and other deleterious materials that might adversely affect the
welding.

3 All the open ends plugged after completing the work.

Both end of the pipe to be welded shall be at the right angle of level and the size of the

Vbel and root face in accordance with procedure specification
The two prepared ends to be welded pipe to pipe or pipe to fitting shall be aligned as
5 accurately as is practical and ensuring that the spacing between the abutting ends is in
accordance with the procedure specification used
6 Offset between the surface caused by dimensional variation shall be minimized.

PAINTING CHECKS
1 Application of paint has been done as per manufacturer's requirement.
2 Pipes are stored properly after the paint work.
3 Mininum coating thickness provided.
4 Check the finishing paint of pipes. If properly painted as per requirements.

Ensure that isolation valves provided in each equipment are close to avoid sand, debris
