awareness towards the said disease. Moreover, they would also like to

learn about the family members perceptions, roles and functions, coping

resources, and interaction patterns on the TB patient in their family.

Hence, the family members also need to be assessed to know their

current physical health status.

The study was first conducted last November 16, 2016. The

researchers have first searched for a suitable person that would serve as

their respondent. After that, they assessed the community where they

were tasked to measure. By doing this, they focus more on the

environment and sanitation of the community, as well as the communitys

basic statistics, such as its population and other prominent diseases

present there.

Sir S (not his real name) was the researchers respondent. Sir S was

a father of 5 children who suffers from Tuberculosis Category-2. He was

diagnosed last 2011 although he has been suffering the disease for more

than ten years. The disease, as he verbally stated, originated due to

smoking cigarettes when he was just 15 years old until he was diagnosed

with the disease. There are no other members in his family that also

suffers from the disease hes been experiencing. No severe diseases or

illnesses have also hit their family, only mild ones, such as fever, colds, or

runny nose. His wife died due to cardiac arrest from hypertension, a

condition which is not also prominent in them.

Sir S lives with his two children, JO and A, together with As

husband, D, and their children, K, KU, and AP. No signs and symptoms of

TB were noted when the researchers assessed them. Their vital signs were

also in normal rates and all of them have all been immunized. They were

also supportive whenever Sir Ss needs the help for the treatment and

medication of his disease. He was openly accepted by his family

members, and communication and interaction patterns among them

werent also altered because of the
