Leadership Night

problem solving
BY KAELYN PFENNING

Woodland Elementary School hosted its annual Lead-

ership Night on Monday, highlighting the Seven Habits
of Highly Effective People.
Students brought their parents to school to show off
what theyve learned through the program, which aims
to develop new methods for problem solving.

Once parents found their students classrooms, a
video presentation explained the evening, including stu-
dent speakers, themed songs and more.
Afterwards, students followed a checklist for what to
show their parents, such as their leadership notebooks,
seats, morning work, supplies, hallway work, class rules
and more.
Theyre going to do that so that they can introduce
to you the seven habits that we use each and every day
here at Woodland in different ways, but these are some
of the faster ways that we can show you, Lisa Fabian,
fourth grade teacher, said to the parents.
Earlier that afternoon, the students surprised their
principal, Wanda Mote, by dedicating the clothing clos-
et behind the school to her with the name: Mrs. Motes
Magical Munchkin Clothing Closet.
We came up with a jingle, said Anna Kate Tallon,
who is a fifth grader along with Sanjana Samuel. Then,
we had some kids, like Sanjana, who were in chorus and
stayed after school, to come help with the jingle. We did
the jingle for Mrs. Mote out there.
