Upcoming Dates:
We are continuing to focus on Colossians 3:12-17 for this year and several stu-
dents have memorized these verses. Can your child say it from memory yet? Singing Valentines: Tuesday Feb. 14
We picked out nine attributes and they are the focus for each month. For Feb-

ruary we are working on forgiveness. "Forgive as the Lord forgave you" is a great
challenge for all of us so ask your child how they are doing in this area. Early Release: Feb. 17 11:45 am

and know that last year, parents voiced a concern about not having a voice in
decision making for MVCA. Please know that this is a great opportunity to give
honest and helpful ways for our school to get better. One of the questions will
be: "If you could change anything about MVCA, what would it be?" Thanks in
advance for participating in this survey.

Next week will be a bit crazy around here with the Missions Team sharing at
chapel and the monthly board meeting on Monday, Singing Valentines and a Friday Hot Lunch
lower school party after swimming on Tuesday. Wednesday we will catch our Chili & Corn Bread
breath before Ski Day on Thursday and then we have an early release on Friday
the 17th at 11:45 to prepare for the Parent/Teacher conferences on Monday, Valentine Cupcakes
the 20th. Did you catch all that??

We are switching to a different way of contacting parents when we experience

inclement weather. Staff member will contact families so you won't have to keep
the chain going anymore. When each staff member communicates with just
three or four families from their classroom, it makes it easier to catch everyone.
Let us know how we are doing with this new method and we welcome ways to
improve it.

Thanks for investing in our school community and for partnering with us in de-

All school Blacktail Ski Trip Thursday February 16, 2017

Adult lift tickets are $20.00, rentals are $20.00.
Lessons are required for all participating students no matter what level skier or
snowboarder they are.
Student Packages:-$22.00 with day lesson
-$30.00 with full day lesson
5th Grade Packages:-$16.00 with day lesson
-$24.00 with full day lesson
No discount on price if students have their own equipment.
Hot lunch is an additional $6.00 (optional).
Make sure you pack a lunch for your students if they do not pay for the hot lunch
provided by Blacktail.
Helmet rental is an additional $5.00 (optional).
MVCAs scripture for the year is Colossians 3:12-17. The entire school body, students and teachers, are working toward memorizing this passage. Each month, the school is focusing on a theme from the verses.

The theme for February is forgiveness. The year will conclude with love in March, peace in April and thankfulness in May. Ask your children to recite this to you and be amazed!
