New software for V-ECU1 & V-ECU2, W1517

NOTE!

This Service Bulletin is to be considered as technical information
only and is not subject to any reimbursement programs outside
normal warranty.

Cause
There were reports from the field about pulsations with some
hydraulic movements. On machines equipped with Tier4i/stage
3b engines, the hydraulic pump is electronically controlled. This
pulsation is caused by an too fast pump regulation leading to an
unstable hydraulic flow control.

Action
A new software release W1517 is available for the V-ECU1 and
V-ECU2 (MID187 and MID249).
Within this new software, the pump regulation was improved to
avoid unstable pump regulation/pulsation.
Update the current software with the new W1517 version in case
of customer complains.

Work instruction
1 Start TechTool and log in online (Connect to Central
Systems). The first time after installation and every 28th day
also select the "Synchronize user profiles" box.
2 Select [TechTool] and then "update product information".
3 If TechTool is connected both to the machine and the central
system you will be informed about available campaigns if
there are any for the connected chassis. You will also have
the same information when you enter the model and serial
number in the manual selection.
4 Select [TechTool] - Manage Software.
5 Enter the Machine, Serial Number and Campaign.
6 Press [Add].
7 Delete unwanted/non existing ecus N.B. It is only possible
to download one MID/type per machine.
8 Press [Send order].
9 Make sure the software is downloaded by checking
[Available software].
10 Close Administrate software.
11 Exit TechTool.
12 Put the machine in service position.
13 Start TechTool in off line mode.
14 Connect TechTool to the machine with the USB interface.
15 When TechTool is finished with the identification of the
connected machine, select the tab "Program".
16 Select the campaign programming operation for the
downloaded software and follow the instructions to program
the machine.
17 Delete all stored error codes.
18 Restore the machine from service position.
