in
the
class:
For this assignment, I am going to have students group up to create and publish an online E-book of short narratives that will be compiled together to display the class writings. The students will have a collection of many writing pieces that they have completed for the semester and they will be able to choose a piece of their writing that will be published into the class booklet that they can cherish in years to come and be able to have a tangible piece of their writing that will be published. I will have the students publish their E-book on amazon for free and I will have it printed for their parents to buy and see. I will group the students into teams that will either edit, organize, name, polish, design the cover, or add photos to the E-book of writings so that everything is all formatted similarly to be aesthetically pleasing and organized. Google slides is great for this project because everyone can go in and edit their pieces and see others editing to collaborate a team effort and produce an E-book that they can be proud of. Level

Every student will have created a safe Google account through the school prior to this project. They will have many pieces of writing that they can polish and choose from to include within the E-book and they will be invited to open and edit the blank Google slides to add their writing piece and edit with their collaborative groups to produce and publish the final E-book. I really feel that students will enjoy this lesson because they will get to actually produce their own writing and help edit their classmates work! It will show them how to use collaboration productivity software and produce their own original work.
